I'm after a new name.com and someone has a registered trademark in, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, and Greece. It has expired in 5 other countries.
Can I use that word in those expired countries?
Or should I focus on US and Asia?
From what I can tell, he only focuses on Europe.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I just want to clarify, those expired trademarks expired in 2004.

Interesting question. I think that only top level trademarks have a protection. But I don't know where to find database of top level -high end - premium. I I don't even know what it's called..There is certainly difference between trademark and trademark.Sorry, i don' know but as I can see no one answered your question so I guess then no one here knows the answer.
Try to google.

Don't play with it. Maybe it's best to ask a trademark expert about it. Some lawyer who specializes in that area.Good luck.
