Here is my intro! I feel pretty lucky to have found this site, I can't wait to meet you all!
What’s your name?
A: My name is Solid Snake, but you can call me Snake.
Where do you live?
A: I live in Los Angeles, California
What’s your level of expertise?
novice, intermediate, expert, etc.
A: I am a novice when it comes to domain buying and selling, and have received my Bachelors of
Science in Business Marketing from CSUN as well as my Associates Degree in Kinesiology from Moorpark College.
How much experience do you have in the domain industry?
years, experience, etc.
A: As of right now, I have 6 days studying and researching (taking notes, forming hypothesis, studying trends, finding my niche markets) and am looking to make this a way of making passive income. I would love to do this full time.
What would you like to specifically learn first?
how to buy a domain, domain history, best selling strategies, government policies, etc.
A: I would love to learn how to develop domains into stand alone websites.
Are you currently working on any projects or ideas?
A: Today I am researching current trends within the fitness niche, and trying to guess what the next ones are going to be based on the macro influences going on right now.
What are your short-term goals in the next year?
A: My short term goal would be to have the experience necessary to create a adequate top notch website for a domain, and then be able to replicate it with any topic I find necessary.
What are your long-term goals in the next 5 years?
A: I would like to have flipped least 10 domains for a profit of $10,000
What was your first domain you purchased?
A: Gonna wait and see how I feel about purchasing after 6 months have gone by studying and researching the markets and the strategies involved in making valuable purchasing decisions.
Why did you start investing in domains? Please tell us the story.
A: I absolutely love the idea of melding together marketing and specific niches, as well as the
e-commerce field. I have always wanted to work for myself and iv'e been using the computer since I was 6 years old. I wouldn't say I am addicted to the web, but I would be deeply saddened if all of a sudden the wifi was cut off. I think the idea of buying low and selling high to make profit is an interesting way of making money.
What domain technologies do you most want to see evolve the most?
parking, marketplaces, news, analytics, registrars, etc.
A: I would like to see domain parking evolve the most because the idea of parking and collecting $$$ sounds too good to be true, I dont know much about it yet, but I always welcome a challenge.
Do you have any predictions for coming trends?
A: At home workouts are going to be widely successful, being able to stream health and wellness content from every platform for a low fee seems to be coming up too.
What do you enjoy most about domaining?
A: The amount of effort I put into studying this, will lead me to some type self made “business” im hoping will feel really good! I also really love the community on here, these forums are amazing.
Do you have any predictions for where the entire domain industry is going?
A: I think its got to be getting much bigger since people have been losing their jobs at such a high speed. So I guess the market is going to become oversaturated with buyers...the domain prices should then can be bid on a lot more. I expect to see some crazy bids coming up.
What’s your funniest domain story?
A: paying 95 dollars for a course on Udemy explaining domaining, and then finding out about Namepros and its free forums like 3 hours afterwards :/ The Udemy course isnt going to be totally worthless, but the whole thing is like 2 hours worth of content. Ugh.
What would you like to delegate most when you’re domaining?
parsing domains, monitoring auctions, data mining, etc.
A: As of today, one on one chatting with professionals in the field and developing websites for them.
What significant industry changes have affected you?
A: None yet!
