Hi all!

I'm doing outbound for a while now and I had a lot of success with it, but I want to improve the text I'm sending to companies as I think what I send them is far from good.

This is what I send to companies:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I own the domain X and I have decided to put it up for sale and I thought you may be interested in acquiring it as this domain can be a great addition to your business.

If you are, please visit the domain X and make an offer through the landing page and we will go from there.

Sincerely,
Yair

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know there is a lot of room for improvement, hence I created this thread.

Any advice?

Thank you!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Usually triggers spam filters imo.
So what would you recommend for subject area? Since I see so many outbound sellers saying to put domain name there... including James Iles etc

Just put the "domain name" or "x domain name is for sale!"

Something on that line for them not to be disturbed again.

Why should he obligate the recipient to a response, the recipient did not ask for an email?

Instead he should simply add a statement apologizing for intruding ]on the recipients day and tell him that he does not usually send out unannounced emails and he will not bother him again.

This way the recipient has to do nothing and the email sounds sincere enough that the he may even contact him if he actually has a use for the domain.

Just a personal opinion on this so take it with a grain of salt. :xf.smile:

Good, short and to the point.

I'd only add this "If you do not want to be disturbed again, please let us know"

Something on that line for them not to be disturbed again.
Great/// very respectful and and considerate. Thank you.

Very helpful and I just followed you because of the consideration you showed. Resonates in me. Thank you.

That's why it's important to habe the domain immediately in the sentence after hi or hello. Because thanks to modern email tech, th eres a preview that forces the user to see the first sentence right in their inbox.

Burying the lead only makes it more probable that who you're emailing will delete without seeing at least the domain name.

Why don't you show the domain name in the subject of email or as the name of sender?

Always have domain name in subject line, but not as name of sender? If it's in the name of the sender... then it looks so much more like spam.

I meant if you show the domain name in the subject, your domain name will be seen even before opening the email. The probability you worry about, does not exist.

As to showing the domain name as the sender, it can not make an email spam. Most companies use domain name as company name and their sender names are their domain name. Paypal, google, amazon, etc. If they can do it, anyone can do it.

It's long. Make it shorter.

"I thought you may be interested in acquiring it as this domain can be a great addition to your business."

It needs to be omitted. How a domain name can be a great addition and why a stranger wants to add something great to their business is unclear.
