I received many emails from, until now unknown to me, a company called “Domain Services” using as a “title” of the email one of my recently acquired domains and asking me to include my domain name in the search engines ( Google, Bing, and Yahoo ) through their service, so as to become “more visible”.

It smells like a scam to me.

Does someone else received this type of emails ?

Here is the email content:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Yes, every time when I reg a name and remove whois protection.

I can confirm you it's a "scam"
"scam" because it's just marketing in fact
They are trying to sell you something you could do yourself easily, but it's still a scam because 1. You don't know if they are really doing the service and 2. it's spam

Yes, every time when I reg a name and remove whois protection.

All my domain names have a "private" status. I suppose that it means WHOIS protected.
Yet, they got my email address and the name of the domains.
The only place where I mentioned some of my domains in public was on this site.
They are probably members of the NamePros.

Some of their emails still get through the spam protection your whois privacy provider set
I received one with whois privacy activated, and they didn't get my real email, they just sent their spam to the whois email (This name was at namesilo)

I have faced this same issue with names registered with @namesilo for Dynadot names no such emails.

I am not sure that it is necessarily a scam (presuming that they do indeed provide the service that they advertise), since they do say "you can do" so I think a careful reading indicates that this is an optional service you can sign up for. But aggressive marketing which will probably mislead some into thinking this is a service they need.

A few days ago I also received this kind of emails (3-4). If I remember well, that was a spam (no proper contact details, no unsubscribe option, etc...).

I get them all the time from 'Domain Services' for many years and yes it is spam however there's nothing illegal, negative or even wrong with selling stuff a buyer can do themselves. It is done all the time involving lots of misc services. You are not necessarily only paying for it but mostly paying a premium for the knowledge on what to do, how to do it, and someone doing it for you.

Based on the e-mail above, it appears they sent it to the anonymized e-mail address that appears on WHOIS. We offer the option to forward you e-mails sent to this address as a means to still receive potential domain purchase or business partnership opportunities without actually disclosing your personal e-mail. If you do not want these e-mails forwarded to you, please go to your Account Settings page and adjust the "WHOIS Privacy Email" option.

Nope. My domains are protected in the registrar.

Add me to the list.
I just registered my first name at Epik and this is the result.
Previously all my other domains have been at GoDaddy and I never received an email like this.

Do they have your direct email, or is it that they are using the way to contact the owner so it comes through without them knowing your account. I now and then get messages on my Epik domains, but I think that is how they are sending them. For me it is like the anonymized email NameSilo mention above (interestingly I don't seem to get them for my NameSilo names though, I think). I have over 100 domains at Epik and don't get them often, so not sure why I get them for some and not others.

There is a very low chance they send them directly to customer's emails if (free) whois privacy is enabled.
You can check the email headers to see whom they sent the email to.
These spammers send their spam to Anonymize redirects emails, but we can't stop all the spam, so most likely some of their emails go through..

It's of the "Anonymous" variety:

{Search Engine Help <domain (at) dropoffmail.com>}
{To: flyinguav.com (at) anonymize.com}
