When I was a kid in the early 1970's, the evangelicals told us "now we are in the end times". Forty years later, they are still telling us that every day.

Since Jesus and the Apostles were alive, it has been considered the "end times"

My mother was a teacher in elementary school and she told me how the parents of a particular sect all came in at the same time one morning and took all the children out of school. She would always get tears in her eyes when she remembered how one child grabbed on to her leg and begged not to be taken away.

They (sect leaders) had determined the day and exact moment the end would happen...they were all in their 'churches' at that time (on a friday as I recall) waiting as the appointed time came and passed.

This group is still quite active and their children and grandchildren have never been back in public schools...they are often seen on construction sites working...some as young as 12 years old I have been told (depends on their size). The bible makes it clear that no one will know the exact time.
