It was most likely registered before CIRA existed and subsequently reserved all those municipal domains.

We are not allowed to register City names that have already been registered (even if they are later dropped) under the old xxxxxx.province_code.ca format.

No worries, was nothing wring with what you posted. It's just that it's the truth (i.e rare .CA sales) and the truth hurts. Resale market is non-existent and/or way too quiet

Now I'm in the Twilight Zone - did you put 72 when you first posted it?

I counted 71 in Excel, went back and it was one less, so I then when I went to write the reply, double-checked and used the 71 - 1 = 70 as my number, when I had 71 all the time.

Myid is not mopping the floor “as much” since the CIRA changes. Do you think the new changes affected them?

Not that it was a great drop this week but they still managed to get 6 of the top ten.

Hey guys (and gals) I was able to procure the OFFICIAL TBR Results for February 27 from the CIRA and I will have them posted this morning.

With all the new changes with the TBR, typically i was unable to register any domains until @ 13:00hrs pst but today i was able to reg domains at 09:00 that were not picked up on yesterdays drop?

plus Namespro has a $4.99 special ( it might be $4.98? not sure )

so i picked up

This week’s .CA TBR list was below-average in terms of the quality and quantity of word domains, and there was a total absence of ultra-premium names. The top selections were partially on target with our expectations and included STREAMIT.CA, BWG.CA, SURFSHOP.CA, FOUL.CA, and VIZ.CA. How BWG.CA was selected ahead of both VIZ.CA and NSO.CA is a question for the ages.

SurfShop was picked up really early, like 2-3 I think - I just checked and it was 2nd overall.

Remember, these are the steaming Leftovers, after the TBR Run, not a running count of post-TBR registrations.

Yeah, I saw SurfShop.ca on the TBR List, took a look outside at the massive 6-months of ice and snow we get, and thought "no freaking way".

Well, for starters, I'd bet that the owner of Cover.com was in a much better position to hold out and demand his price (i.e. less desperate) than the owner of Cover.ca... Personally, I think too many .ca domainers sell for way too cheap...

BTW, there was a very similar .ca in TBR just a couple weeks ago. Some brilliant person probably picked that one up cheap.
