“For Sale” Signs?

Since l begin domaining again about four months ago, after a 12-year-sabbatical, so to speak, l’ve bought domain names at five registrars: NameCheap, GoDaddy, Register, 1and1 Ionos, and Network Solutions.

Do any of these registrars allow or otherwise enable owners to post “For Sale” signs that googlers will see if they search a domain name on the Internet?

Thanking you in advance....

Lew

I think NameSilo does what you might be talking about. Do you mean domain parking that advertisers the domain is for sale or search engine results showing your domain? Anyway, I have budcomet.com parked on NameSilo with a message saying the domain is for sale and where to contact me.

Thanks for your quick reply. So all things being equa, if one wants a For Sale notice on a domain name is it best to park, so to speak, on the registrar’s site.

I realize that question might be terminally confusing—but, hey, give me a break. I’m an English instructor😎.

I find the landers at Undeveloped attractive. They charge 9% commission if the domain name sells there. You can point DNS to them from any registrar simply using (ns1.undeveloped.com and ns2.undeveloped.com). You of course need to FIRST set up an account with them (free) and post your domain names for sale there.

Any of the marketplaces (Sedo, Afternic etc.) also offer landers or parkers, as do the registrar based markets (or some of them at least). I personally prefer Undeveloped which look cleaner to me, I think their statements re trust and speed instil confidence in potential buyers, and really like that I can have fairly long descriptive statements about each domain name. I know others prefer the models used for different landers.

If you are handling many domain names, a subscription to Efty provides an easy way to manage domain names and have easily customized attractive landers. Also, if you sell through that lander there is no commission (you handle the sale and transfer yourself).

I have not explored it, but ToughDomains offer a basic account free and have effective landers too.

I would urge you to explore some listings and see what seems best for your domain names. To change where your domains are pointed is simply a matter of logging in to your account at where they are registered and changing the DNS settings (two pieces of data normally).
