The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It is not premium domain name...it has standard renewal of 15 USD at most registrars

i call premium any name that has higher reg fee than regular priced inventory.
there are two kind of premiums in fact - one with premium reg fee but with regular renewal, the other has both premium reg and premium renewal

call them premium or not the fact is the OP paid the money that he is unlikely to ever get back as the probability of selling the name of this quality is less than buying a winning $100M lotto ticket at your local convenience store

You are right that there are 2 kind of premiums, exactly as you describe, but his domain name has simple standard renewal attached to it, no premium there :)

I also disagree respectfully with your assesment of probabilities - imo OP can recoup his initial investment on this one, but it will require quite an sales effort. But it very far from the luck you need to win $100M lotto ticket.

Why did you buy the name, for investment, or to actually invest more money, and start a business on it?

If it is for the second choice, then hopefully you can mine for less that energy, and hardware cost, and be profitable, or build out your network.

I would have tried to talk to the registry, if you paid the price that just popped up on the screen, you probably could have saved yourself 1/3 by negotiating.

Thank You
really?

Mine.Network - Here's what this name has going for it.

"Mine" is short and relevant to blockchains, which are in their infancy of disruption.

The extension ".network" is used heavily in the crypto/blockchain space.

Combining a relevant keyword to the relevant extension is necessary for making a worthy New G.

This domain has potential.

Try cancel it, most domain purchase can be cancelled with in days. Check that's possible in this case

i never said it has premium renewal.
but if you do not call $5,000 reg fee name a premium one, then what are premiums then?

on most registrar sites these names are marked as "premium registration".that is what i meant.

OP can recoup his initial investment on this one, but it will require quite an sales effort. But it very far from the luck you need to win $100M lotto ticket.

that is no more than wishful thinking.
if that were that simple for a pretty much random name in a TLD with 5 (!) reported sales in 2018 and only 11 (!) $1,000+ sales in 3 years including ad.network which went for $5,000 only...

minenetwork.org is avail, you may want to put some effort into selling it if you believe that anything can sell :)

I guess you need to learn some english before buying crap names.

Invest another 5k and travel to UK or US for english courses, that will be your best investment.

It was a Registry direct sale, so Donuts.

The registries when it comes to GTLD's are choosing to reserve their better names, and even cherry pick the drops, and not release the domains back out, and they are finding this model more profitable. Hence they are essentially becoming the domainer within their own eco system.

You would have to make contact with Godaddy first where you bought it. Have you contacted anyone about a refund, at a higher level of support?

Try to see if you can give them a call, and try to speak someone. If it takes 2 days to return an email you might lose valuable time.
