Just wondering how common it is to have someone going through the Buy it Now process and initiating the escrow process on an efty page but only to go dark afterwards. Could the barrier in fact be the Escrow signup requirement?

They read my reminder Email but no reply :xf.frown:

If you reply again I would offer other options a buy it now at the registrar, Undeveloped etc. Try to feel it out beforehand.

As far as backing out it happens and I don’t think Escrow is to blame. It took me all of five minutes to get cleared to the highest level.

This is not that uncommon. I have experience it several times with my Efty BIN domains. In my experience it is simply non-serious buyers who never intended to purchase it. I had to remove the BIN option from one of my high traffic domains with traffic primarily from South America because I was getting 3-4 escrow transactions a week on it, and they were all bogus. The Escrow.com signup is very simple and quik and is not a barrier for any serious buyer. You will always get people who just get their kicks out of submitting forms. Not to worry.

Guys, just so you're aware, the Escrow.com verification is NOT always easy. In fact it can be incredibly difficult if you are international since their verification processes seem to struggle with anything outside their expectations for a US client. I first had to use them to complete a $15k purchase and it took SEVEN days to get the verification sorted out and in the end they only put it through because I told them I was cancelling the transaction and going to a different escrow service. Everything I had sent them was perfect, but because of business structures in my country I couldn't provide the exact docs they wanted to see. They made things a downright nightmare (wasted hours of my time going back and forward trying to keep them happy). I came very close to cancelling the whole transaction because the seller insisted on using them. So to the OP - I'm not saying this is the case, but it is certainly possible that Escrow.com is a barrier. For people in the US (and maybe for personal international buyers) it is likely to be simple, but for me as an overseas business customer it was far from it.
