Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Great "adjective" (first keyword) especially with the stories about chemical that are being used to grow and the government (states/provinces/federal) regulating CBD quality!

Thanks for the information. I was surprised that it was available as a hand reg.

Being also proud of your country is a awesome thing!

If Corey wants too specialize in her extension (just like you in the (dot)com)..more power to her!
It’s not her extension, it’s just an extension. There’s nothing wrong with investing in whatever works, could be dot anything.

In this case there are constant posts from Corey regarding pot domains ending in .com.au. As a domain investor the logical question to Corey is, do these sell and if so can you provide an example or two? Heck, if they’re selling I might want to explore the extension more, maybe others as well.

That said, don’t tell us that they do in fact sell but they’re all under nda. A response like that just doesn’t add up.

Okay, not her extension but her countries! If I was "Aussie" and can't get a "com" great keyword, I would register the "com.au"..smart move in my opinion..also any ccTLD .de/ca/etc

True but most of those post are about domains being developed/upgraded! Maybe she promoting her "site building" skills while showcasing her domain..[/quote]

..MY opinion, just words! You have been doing this (domaining) for a while now, most likely you already researched that extension by now!

If they were selling ..why would she encourage the competition?

Totally up to her to answer that or not...no need to push/bully/etc for a response!

Now adult-business time..

@Keith perhaps you could read - Expectations for respect and constructiveness @ https://www.namepros.com/threads/expectations-for-respect-and-constructiveness.845259/

If that was posted by me..it was sign that you were coming on way too too strong..troll like maybe gender biased (again my opinion)

Now the real bottom line....you are affiliated/associated with a site that sells domains!

You are posting on a busine$$ forum...lots of members/lurkers view postings!

Not good PR at all!

No I am not speaking for Corey..just my opinions!

This is a business forum like you said. Lots of people reading/watching threads. The last thing I would post is that the “majority of my sales” are under nda, when asked. People that consistently sell domains know better. Would be cool to say the domains are for development purposes which would’ve made complete sense.

In general, I post sales so people can see what sells, maybe get an idea of what works. They are never reported to dnjournal but instead here, where members deal in the niche. That was my motivation for asking Corey to post a few sales...

Any particular platform to sell marijuana related domains ?

If I found one good name...
Can I sell it within days for good amount...

Just trying to understand the demand and possible outcomes...

Suggestions welcomed..

These questions have been asked dozens of times for every niche, including this one.

That aside, try potdomains.com to list, along with the regulars; GD/Afternic, Sedo, etc.

As for 'finding a good name and selling it within days for a good amount'...

...one can dream, but don't hold your breath. While it's possible, it is highly unlikely. Even great names in this niche are a tough sell, and a long hold, more often than not. Stick to the aftermarket whenever possible. Be selective with expired names, and especially selective with handregs...IMO.

Does outbound marketing work out in case of marijuana domains?

Is listing on potdomains good enough?
or having a landing page with them is more beneficial?
Anybody having experience of potdomains?

It's an extra place to add your domains for exposure; These niche domain names are not a every day thing users search on the internet so it's practically whatever you decide to display on your domain or domains landing page.

If your pages don't display anything now when users go to the domain then you need some sort of offer page / submission field users can enter the first time around when visiting you domain names. I am the owner of potdomains and still advise to add your names to all the other aftermarket domain websites for the most exposure for your names possible.

I wish I could tell you potdomains was good enough to sell a domain instantly; but it just doesn't work like that, buyers ultimately find the site through "YOUR" domain and make an offer through the platform.

Canadian Cannabis Investor Never Bargained for Surprise Lifetime U.S. Ban

By J.J. McCoy, Senior Managing Editor for New Frontier Data

Just as investors on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border look to involve themselves in a nascent legal cannabis industry heating up throughout North America, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection has cast a chill by threatening Canadian investors with lifetime visitation bans to their southern neighbors.
Last month, Canada joined Uruguay as the only nations in the world to legalize cannabis for adult use, a development which New Frontier Data has projected to lead to a CAD9.2 billion market by 2025.

When Canada’s nationwide adult-use market officially opens for sales in October, cannabis will be legal for medical or adult-use virtually anywhere on either side of the roughly 6,000-mile border stretching from Alaska to Maine.

Yet, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection has reportedly maintained that while medical and adult-use cannabis may be legal in some U.S. states, it remains illegal under U.S. federal law. Which means that working in the marijuana industry, whether in the U.S. or Canada, can still affect a Canadian’s admissibility to the United States.

A Vancouver investor named Sam Znaimer investor has told several media outlets that he has been banned for life from entering the U.S. due to his legal cannabis investment interests.

The CBD Report 2018: Industry Outlook, details how the U.S. CBD industry grew nearly 40% in 2017, reaching $367 million in sales across both hemp-derived and marijuana-derived markets.

For the first time in 2017, U.S. hemp-derived CBD products outsold marijuana-derived CBD products.

Marijuana-derived CBD branded sales grew from $64M in 2016 to $118M in 2017, a one-year increase of 84%. They will account for nearly 80% of the market versus flower by 2020.

The anticipated rollout of Epidiolex in September will open the pharmaceutical channel; by 2022 the juvenile epilepsy treatment will account for approximately 1/3 of the total CBD market, netting estimated sales of over $625M.

Nice 420 sales Jason! The buyer got a good deal imo!

Regarding cctlds Corey, I'm not sure for .com.au but I've sold .ca's to clients who were also looking for .co.uk's. So eventually companies will want .com.au's. Keep to premiums imo.
