Hi guys,
I've just opened my email to find this message from godaddy
xDk0RHy.png

I was shocked as I've just bought the domain name two days ago.
As godaddy is not allowing Direct Chat with support for Moroccan people , I've to call them , and I did , but their support keep telling me that he don't know why the domain got cancelled and I have to check their last email which have the processes to follow to get the domain back. I kept telling him that I haven't received any message from them and the only message was the cancellation canfirmation , but he kept telling me he can't do anything. The funny thing he said is that I can't even get my money back even if they don't give my domain back.
I have many domains registered with godaddy and I'm worry that I wake up tomorrow to find that all the domain names got cancelled for no reason.
So what should I do guys? I can't transfer all my domain names right now , so please don't suggest that !

any fake info that doesn't match up with other info is going to throw up a red flag at godaddy.

Godaddy will not give the money to you so you asking them for a refund is going to get you nowhere.

Let your friend know that he should be getting a refund soon and that you need your money back so you can reg the domain. Call godaddy and ask them if there is a way to now register the domain, otherwise it will end up as a repossessed domain that gets put up for auction on godaddys aftermarket auction site.

Once the domain is back in Godaddys account they can auction it. They don't do this type of thing unless there is a no payment on the domain.

Unfortunately it could now end up in auction with others bidding on it. Sorry.

Your seller is the architect of the whole problems and no reliable registrar will allow anyone with fake identity on their platform. No offense intent but permit me to ask a honest question here - did you pay for this domain or your friend decided to push the domain to you to avoid losing it to godaddy? It's obvious you and the guy are close friends.

That doesn't make sense. What if you have bought a name from someone and you finish the Deal. And you also sell the domain to semeone else. Then later the first seller didn't want to give his national ID for his privacay , so godaddy took the domain for themselves , and then your buyer start complaining asking for a refund because he just lost the domain you sold him. That really doesn't make any sense . the person I bought it from did pay for the domain using his real CC , he don't want to refund because he didn't also get a refund . my question why I have to deal with this , they can just ban him if he don't want to give his ID and leave me alone , I have nothing to do with that seller , why I have to lose the domain ??
i see your point, not sure how it will work, it's just opened a can of worms with him opening that fake account and selling you the name through it, I guess GD are making sure the name wasn't bought/sold illegally. It isn't your fault and hopefully you get your name. Good luck

repossessed domains is usually a payment related issue. You need to contact the team directly. Since you didn't "buy" it from us they may not be able to give you any information about the problem because we won't give non account holders any information related to another account. So for instance if the buyer paid with a bad credit card, or charged back the payment, or the funds were rejected, etc we will not tell you that because it is not your account.
If you know him well he should be able to get the information and fix the problem for you. It is important to buy domains from places/people you can trust because you don't know if they are going to scam you at some point. I am not sure what happened in this case, so this is a general statement to keep you safe. And I am just pointing out some possibilities.
I think the best bet is to contact the person you bought it from and see if they will work it out with our department because it is likely related to the payment they made for the domain.

Something stinks at GoDaddy. I am going through this problem myself.
Used a prepaid card to buy a domain. A 99 cent domain.
Domain developed and all of sudden 3 weeks later GD "Repossessed" it.
I see that over 134,000 domains have been repossessed by GD according to domaintools stats.
The replies I am getting from support staff are nonsensical at best.
Nowhere in the registration agreement at GD nor in the ICANN registrar agreement is this sort of procedure approved or listed.

Well I will sue Godaddy and even form a class action if my domain is put on auction.
That seems like a perfect clever scam.

I have fixed the problem , but I have talked with Godaddy support for 8 hours on the phone (which cost a lot since I'm outside the US) and they don't help at all , it's not like they don't want , but it's out their limits , all they ask you after checking for hours is to contact disputedomains via email , and those guys don't even reply , that department don't even have a phone number , and when you contact them , they only send you bot replies , telling you the same things again and again , that you need to pay more money to get the domains back, I've paid and got my domains back , so I can't see I'm very happy with that , but I'm glad that I didn't lose my domains , and I want to thank the phone support for their help and I wish godaddy can give them more access so they can solve all the issues.
