CryptoKitties became a sensation after it debuted in November as a collectible game built on top of a blockchain and the Ethereum cryptocurrency. Now the Axiom Zen game studio is spinning it out as a separate company, and it has raised $12 million funding for this endeavor.

They only own the .co?

Edit: Seems they don't own the .com and when I did a scan it is possibly malicious.

Stay away from CryptoKitties.com!

That's an amateur move on their behalf not securing the .com way before launching their product. They must've been working on this long before the .com was registered by another party in August 2017. Now that the other party knows they raised 12 million they are going to be holding out for a ridiculous sum of money should they ever want the .com.

I agree with you. They should have secured the .com first. I don't understand why ventures don't realize that getting the domain name first is the first step in name branding. Anyway, I guess that's part of the reasons why domainers are in business
