Does anyone know how to change the price of a listed name? Do I have to contact the customer support?

•••
@guilty You just go into your control panel, find the domain, click Edit Domain Details, and you can adjust +/- 20% from the suggested price.

That was fast! Thanks a lot man.

Thanks for letting me know. From my perspective as a BB customer, it's annoying to see this type of inconsistency with their selection process and it cost me money too. 2015 BB published domains were trading higher, I can't recall who I sold it to but it went very cheap. Sure, we're only talking 20-$30 difference but repeat this over 20 and 100 submissions and it adds up fast.

Anyway, I've no plans to submit any further names, that's a decision unrelated to this.
This same thing happened to me. When I asked, I was told things change all the time so sorry it happened:(

OK BB spokesman. I would love to get the list of all 191 members of your bb group and add them with krell Margot and boxador and see how many sales are left for the little guy over the last 6 months.
I am on Slack too:) And NO , I dont get any benefits at ALL just because my account qualified for being on Slack As for sales since 2015 ,I had three names sold of which all came in 2016 (2 in June2016 and one in Dec2016) and all handregs. Of course there are a lot of things I send as feedback to BB and as I always say, the choice is with the seller. If the seller thinks it is good then he should use if not then he should leave it. I am not happy at all with how things are and I made it known many times on Slack, here too.

I had some names like this, but I have noticed that if the person who submits has a few hundred names or 100% of the accepted names are listed, then there are big chances to be accepted. I had one keyword+suffix which was rejected and after a few month, somebody else has submited the same name and it was accepted at 2.8k. I think that they are acting like somebody who thinks that they are on the summit and nobody can touch them, but I think that this will come back to them very fast.

Once they told me things change from time to time , I said OK no problem:) .Nothing more to do or argue about or lose energy for. There are a lot more important things to dk than complaining to them :)

25% I think this number is a little low, Also don't forget to highlight boxador for another big percentage of the sales I dont keep track of Margot or the rest of the brand bucket team or THERE SPECIAL BB SLACK GROUP that you are not in. In my opinion, the brand bucket squad makes majority of the sales for them while collecting fees from the little guys to put towards there advertisements so they can sell THERE STUFF!!! I also can tell you the brandbucket crew and Micheal krell gets SPECIAL PLACEMENT FOR HIS DOMAINS AND SO DOES THE REST OF THE GROUP. To the little guy do your self a favor create a efty page or get your own landers. Deal with your own leads. Dont give these guys your money so they can sell there stuff first. My brandbucket experience sucks! I don't recommend them

Speaking of Mr.Krell getting special placement , let me give you this : The following domains are his and are currently featured on the homepage of BB:

Co/Ratio
Cactus/Rose
Real/Pivot
Capital/Bell
Rebela
DripDrops
ZenFam
OkCycle
Track/Pixel

Of 20 names featured , 9 are owned by Mr.Krell , 1 is owned by one of their Ambassadors , 1 is under privacy. Attached screen shot of featured names as of NOW. Of course hardcore BB supporters will not like this, I like BB but I dont like this too, but truth must be told. I had great and at times intense discussion with avid BB lovers in Slack when I brought this up a couple of months ago. Any name featured, even if it is mine, was getting better replacement in all the keywords assigned to that name. Another member on Slack showed that 40% of search results showed Margot and Krell's , and their Ambassadors domains in the first page. Example of featured names getting better placement than others? I showed many on Slack and here is another one. Simply search for UP names, then you get names like

Upcentive , Privacy , Upsmith, UpEditor, privacy,

Uptivo , Upvera , UpViva, UpSpell (Ambassador's name)

Uphatch (Ambassador's name)

Upliva ( Margot )

Krell's Names

Upbeast
, Uptos , Uplance, UpSharply ,Uperation , UpMeasure, Uplon, UpTheGut,
InfluenceUp , ShapesUp , Upvon , UpSly, SoftenUp, FluffUp, UpGears, SpendUp , BuilderUp

So guys , of 48 names displayed in a 67% screen display(so five names are returned in each row) , Mr.Krell owns 17 in first page, that is not counting the privacy names.

One ambassador owns 4 Names while another owns 1 . Margot owns 1 . So that is 23 names ( many under privacy I didnt count ) for Krell, Margot, and two Ambassadors out of 48 names returned when I searched using the keyword "UP "

The names I made bold are names I am 100% sure were featured names. On the other hand, I have 6 UP names which were published , before some of the names I made bold but they are in nowhere to be seen.

I talked about this on Slack as did another guy and only got defense from BB supporters while the concerned people of the company simply ignored but , I would say one thing to avid BB supporters, when you see such data it is really really important that you acknowledge and for once agree something is not right. This was just a small sample of 1626 names classed as having "UP" so imagine what might happen with other keywords.

So for Krell to sell more names is very very understandable under these search results. If I get 17 names in one search ALONE, I am sure I will sell more.

BB supporters are thinking that what they are doing it's 100% right, because they think they will get something extra featured or some free credits, but before you sell yourself for peanuts you should think if it's worth it. I wonder what they will do without BB, how can they survive in the domaining jungle without the comfort if some free help. It's like defending Trump and saying that the humankind will not survive without him and ignore what the rest of 99% of the population it's thinking. Now BB it's something like a Trump of the domaining, when they act like they are the bread of the industry and we will not survive without them.

The whole BB marketplace is screwed by their own people because of greed.

Earlier they used to accept very few names. They were giving free credits by voting for domains which they stopped because for them money wasn't flowing in.

They become greedy and expanded their marketplace and accepted thousands of mediocre domain names. This brought them a lot of listing fees. These domains eventually got buried in that ocean.

Now that the domain marketplace is already flooded with thousands of domains, they are accepting less domain names.

But again greed can't be stopped. They started something called as growth program. This way you can submit unregistered or closeout domain name for $1 each submission. They may either accept or reject. Mostly again these domains will get rejected because they want to keep the money flow in. This way they will also reduce the number of domain submissions in the marketplace.

With front page already taken by their own people, to me it hardly seems like they are doing anything special to sell those domains which are sitting idle for more than 2 years. But you will listen folks saying "hey a domain which was registered a month ago got sold today for xxxx, you know its a great name".

What seemed like a Quality marketplace is now a Quantity marketplace. Numbers game.

Then again BB supporters would jump in here every time you talk anything negative about BB. O_o

Following up on my post above , I decided to check the second page of the results :

2 under privacy
3 owned by Ambassadors.
1 Margot
1 is mine

Krell
  1. SchemeUp
  2. ElevateUp
  3. FuseUp
  4. AdjustUp
  5. UpBonus
  6. Upclix
  7. Hoverup
  8. UpCruise
  9. SuitsUp
  10. UpBloom
  11. CoachedUp
  12. StorageUp
  13. UpModern
  14. UpHandle
  15. UpAvenue
  16. FiberUp
  17. AccountUp
  18. UpCapsule
  19. Uplandia
  20. UpHabit
  21. UpSavvy
  22. UpVis
  23. UpFader
  24. Uptimus
  25. UpVos
  26. UpBunny
So for the second page, of 48 names, Mr.Krell owns 26 names , I own 1 name, Margot owns 1 , and the Ambassadors own 3 so the house owns 26+1+3 = 30 names of 48 displayed.

When you own 43 names of the first 2 pages of a 96 names, you bound to expect sales and top them too, specially when a marketplace has 44K+ names.

Uplance (MK) is the first result returned when I search 'Up' @ $4,995....

Yet, they rejected Uphance when I submitted it.

They should have accepted. The data I posted is based on default filters.

I created a post a few weeks back regarding these same issues.
One of the issue was CONFLICT OF INTEREST in which I wrote, " with their own Staff members selling their own domains on the website, how do we know their own domains are not being rotated to the front of the line?
Correct! Is not fair. You are stupid if you think they are not doing it ".

We domainers understand and KNOW this is happening. When we spoke out about such issues on this very same thread, all of a sudden we were called whiners by a few BrandBucket suck ups such as @JimJammy.
Let me tell you about BrandBucket, they know that domainers are pulling their best domains off their website. Hence, the reason why they are implementing rules to "TRY" stopping those same domainers from removing domains off the BrandBucket marketplace.
Those same rules that they "THINK" will help them, is actually going to hurt them in the near future.
A,B,C,D,F? Sorry you got an F, you can't add domains. Really? Such silliness!

We are domainers, we are not here to be faithful to a company that "WE" domainers help make money.
They want to prevent me from adding domain names? Cool bro!

Why is there no feature in the user control panel letting us (the sellers) know how many views a domain is getting per day or per month. Any analytics would be a great feature to implement. But nope, they spent money on a grading system to hurt domainers from adding domain names.

Why is there no rotation feature? Why are domain names being buried? NO WAY SIR, they can not have that kind of feature in place because then they wont be able to sell their own domains.

Let me give you an example: A domainer friend of mine contacted Julia asking her to please have a domain removed from the BrandBucket Market Place Listings. To his credit, he actually was doing it the correct way. He was giving them the 30 day notice as it states in their TOS rules. Julia removed the domain name the next day and he got a bad score. Now, he can not receive any new domains into his account until his score goes back up. Why was he punished for actually following the rules?
Oh, I know, He was punished for removing his domain names.

The correct word here to describe BrandBucket is GREED. They do not take the time to listen to their sellers opinions. They are capitalizing on all that traffic that is being sent to them from all of the 40,000 plus domain names that are forwarded to their website.

True domainers don't sit around and wait for BrandBucket to sell their domain names.
True domainers make calls, send emails, track those emails and go search for endusers.
Keep depending on BrandBucket to sell your domains and your domaining career will be short lived!

Analysed results page 3 of keyword UP too , and here is the result. Well I shall stop then lol.

1 names is mine
3 names have privacy
1 names owned by Ambassadors

Krell
  1. UpSlate
  2. UpCrate
  3. UpComet
  4. UpRider
  5. ThinksUp
  6. UpItGoes
  7. UpTonight
  8. UpDrill
  9. UpCodes
  10. RoamUp
  11. UpNotch
  12. Circup
  13. UpDoodle
  14. UpSecond
  15. UpVisit
  16. UpString
  17. PresentUp
  18. BoosterUp
  19. UpJar
  20. UpBuddy
  21. UpHawk
  22. UpChimp
  23. KloseUp
  24. UpStorm
  25. UpWheel
So again of 48 names Krell owns 25 , 1 is owned by ambasador , 1 is owned by me and 3 are under privacy.

So , in first page , he has 17 , and second page he has 26, and third 25 . So when each page displays 48 names, that is 48x 3 = 144 names. Krell alone owns 68 of those .

Well no more discussion then as this is a home run as Americans say lol. Any sane person wouldnt expect anything but to have a lot of sales and to top the sales charts when his or her domains are having outstanding placements.

After these analysis , I can easily say the three names I had there sold were probably from users who visited the domains cause no way any of my names are in good position for a user to search and choose it from 45K names.

I used to submit my brandables to:
BB, if rejected then submit to BR, then NR.

Now that BB is far too crowded and my sales rate decrease significantly, I change my preference: BR, NR, then BB.
I have better sales rate at BR now.

I don't know what really happens behind the scenes, but I do think that an important part of the equation that needs to be mentioned is that Michael currently owns 6729 BB listed domains according to his profile page. Naturally he's gonna have way more domains in every possible search and he's probably focusing on certain keywords and 'up' is one of them.

Again... Not trying to defend BB or Michael and personally I'm not a big fan of the fact that regular sellers are "competing" against BB staff which will always raise integrity questions and conspiracy theories. But that's how BB works. I think ultimately it's each and every one's choice whether BB suits them or not and if it does- in what capacity. Some sellers are making a good/great return on their investment. Some less so. Some not at all. You can't please everybody all the time and not all names can sell. If BB doesn't work for you, there are always alternatives.

Sir, no one else is going to pay $67,290 in fees plus acquisition.... to list on BB. I'm sure he does not pay fees. Whole different story.

@creataweb I'm pretty sure I remember him saying on the slack channel that he is paying fees, but if someone knows otherwise- please chime in. I know from his interviews that he started there like any other seller and built up his portfolio. Because he started making many sales, he invested more money into it and eventually became the managing director etc. Again, I'm not a BB defender and I have problems with a lot of things they do. But they do also get sales for names that very likely wouldn't sell elsewhere and for prices that are hard to get elsewhere.
