From their main page:

Holo.Com The Hologram site. MR/ VR / AR HOLOGRAMS more to come.

Small site with not a lot of content... yet it is getting between 100 - 1000 search volume a month for holo.com (with .com added) / type-in traffic from google search alone and count the direct navigation from browser and they are sitting on a real goldmine.

wow, someone is living in a dream world, this will never sell for $1 mil, there are so many ultra premium keyword .com's that don't reach 7 figures

I think they do this in order to only attract end users with a lot of cash. When you ask for 1 million you can always lower the final price and have some room to negotiate. When the shift arrives from traditional video and pics to holograms and the young people grow up calling things a hologram it can be worth a lot of money. Domain is already receiving traffic at this early stage...

I’m not too sold on Holo+Keywords yet, but that name on its own will have value I feel. I just said to myself if I could get it around $10k or less (knew it was an outside chance but worth a try) look at recent seven figure LLLL sales (Vivo and Teem) if those can go for 7 figures, Holo can, a word that is being used a lot in a technology tipped to revolutionize things.

You always get large sales like Vivo and Teem by these are purchased by large existing companies with deep pockets. I agree it will be worth a very nice price, if HOLO does take off and become a popular term, but $1 million is a huge stretch at this stage. Its a great name to just hold onto for a while. Its amazing what 1 letter can do to a name, I have eHolo.com

Its always worth emailing owners, even if you know they will come back with a price way above your budget...you just never know..

Well if I was the owner of Holo dot com I would be sending an email to 8i.

They just received $27 million in funding and are launching a app coincidentally called "Holo".

8i Announces $27 Million Series B Funding to Bring Holograms to Consumers with New Mixed Reality App “Holo”

I still like a good long tail in mixedreality I remember when first regoing nearly everything was avaiable. I hand reg the following for $9 each

Mixedrealitys3x.com
Mixedrealityp@[email protected]
Mixedrealitycasino.com
Mixedrealitypoker.com
Mixedrealityslots.com
Mixedrealitybingo.com
Mixedrealitynews.com
Mixedrealitytoys.com
Mixedrealitybet.com
Mixedrealityvegas.com
Mixedrealitysocial.com
Mixedrealityracing.com
Mixedrealitygay.com

etc

All regs were $9 each at the time pretty much everything was avaiable except two i wanted was a funny time searching dot coms mixed reality and seeing available on pretty much everything for regoing.

At the time i was thinking there must be something wrong with this term as all these would not normally be available then microsoft came out as mixed reality and all things changed then i saw alot of registered names coming through the system.

Thanks for sharing your great names (@Augmentedrealitysex ,@cordoba ,@Elad n, @DJO and others here).

Have got MixedrealityAuto - Mixedrealityzoo (and some in between). Furthermore invested in Spatial, Sensory (sold sensory reality), Virtuality, AI and some short versions of MR domains.

Still so many chances, today reg.: OpenMixedReality for 7.-€

Good luck to all

As far as Holo.com Pricing... I can only speak from personal experience...
If I price a name with a high amount that seems way to much (rarely),
It is really because I do not want to entertain offers on it 'at that time'.
Knowing that it will do the job and only leave the remaining serious offers left to deal with.
In most cases though, I don't like to entertain offers via email because folks are free to say a lot of things they do not mean and often don't mean. For the most part, it is just a waste of time 'for me'.
All of my names are listed with at least 1 DLS somewhere. Most are listed at 2 or more.
When someone wants a name, they will get a offer in front of you.
It's that old saying.... money talks and BullS!!t walks. No skin or reputation on the line with a email.

But when you have a category killer, you have the freedom to play as much as you want with much less downside because it's appeal of use is so broad. At least until you can determine for yourself where the fair market value actually is over time. Never be in a hurry.

But the market right now has plenty of options of names, so getting a good value for a name is more dependent on what you may be able to obtain a similar name for.
It will remain this way until demand is higher and the supply of unused good names gets slimmer.
Add to that, most start-ups have low budget. But as the industry grows, so will the budgets.
Of course there are those that already made the decision on name/brand before acquiring the domain, but you will not likely know who they are to realize the potential.

Speaking of hybrid i picked up hybrids3x.com this is my only hybrid name i own at the moment.

Do anyother np members own any hybrid .

I think I've mentioned this before, but I have a couple Hybrid names...

Hybrid Headset
Hybrid Glasses
Hybrid Goggles

I’m not too sold on Holo+Keywords yet, but that name on its own will have value I feel. If memory serves, I believe the plural - "HOLOS" - went out the door for 5k at Sedo just a few years ago...

I'm seeing the term Enhanced Reality" tossed around lately. It is an umbrella term for all realities, VR, AR, MR.

“There’s a lot of confusion in the market about Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality,” says Adrienne Downey, Director Technology Research. “Semico calls this combined market the Enhanced Reality market."

Personaly I think it serves a purpose as all these various terms are quite confusing to the everage Joe.

What do you guys think? Will Enhanced Reality catch on?

Hybrid Reality
Merged Reality
Hyper Reality
Enhanced Reality
Augmented Reality
Mixed Reality
Extended Reality
Virtual Reality

Let's play a game. What new term will be introduced?

Apple Reality? (AR guys will be lucky on this one lol)
Final Reality?
XXL Reality?
All-in-one Reality?
Ultimate Reality?

All i can say is to people reading this thread... don't go on a regging spree without doing a lot of research.

Virtual Reality is king in gaming and immersive video.

Mixed Reality is about mixing the real world with the digital one and is interactive / intelligent.

Augmented Reality is only a "static" layer projected in the real world.

All the other all-in-one terms will be just a marketing gimmick and every marketing department can create a new one. People will search for fully immersive content or mixed reality / holograms.

Just my quick view of the current state of affairs.

Ha! I have 7 out of 8 on your list.
But yeah, with Mixed Reality and now Enhanced Reality (also WebVR) I was early and could scoop up premium names. But apart from the top names I am not that interested. It's a lottery.

I do think a lot of these terms are a waste of time. But same time, you just know there’s going to be new terms coined that’s relevant to virtual tech that maybe we’ve not even heard about yet.

Silicon Valley and the general public aren’t going to follow Paul Miligram’s chart from 1994, Miligram is not Moses and his chart is not the commandments.
