Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

@alcy

I have read a lot of articles on here about Afternic and most of the people who comment about not selling anything there are the ones who list their names and a year or 2 later they wonder they haven't sold anything? It takes a lot of patience and often years before the sales happen...the same with GD and Sedo. I have sold names that I had forgotten I had even listed on some of these marketplaces...most of them set to auto renew lol...my Afternic cloud sales happened 5-8 years after being listed...your best bet is to list and leave if you aren't actively try to sell them...

Virtual Reality is a way to immerse people into entertaining experiences, but in order to get more immersive, technology has to be able to replicate our real-life movements.

Tracking Full Body Movement in Virtual Reality

For tracking the user’s hands in VR, tech giants such as Microsoft and Intel have RealSense, Oculus has Pebbles and Nimble, while many other startups are developing their prototypes. The head is already tracked with VR headsets. But users want to play martial arts video games, feel control over their full virtual body or be able to dodge objects in VR. We all want to feel a full immersion. So, what are the solutions that already exist or under development?

Strange, I thought only domains registered with them could appear on auction, thanks I'll try that.

So OK you know me I love asking stupid questions so I'm told. At this point in time is it a waste of money to (if you do an auction on gd or sedo) pay for featured listings for VR domains? To have it prominently? Anyone have data to back up the "theory" that such paid promotions increases sold Price ? Like a side by side comparison ? You listed a domain with no featured and another with?

Sure would be interesting to see. If not then I might give it a try.

These marketplaces always boast that paying for featureds along with paying for an auction is the only way to get it seen. Or else risk getting buried along with a million other schmucks trying to sell their domains. ( yup a marketplace rep actually said that! You know how I love to buddy up the reps. Always give you the real 411)

So you gotta wonder is it all bs? Or will featured listings really work for say vr domains to boost sold prices ?

I feel that vr domains the not so good ones (yet) have been hovering in the low ($xxx) range because of this reason. Although I think most that show up in namebio are probably expired auctions so they should have had "eyes" on them. Yet they sold for low $xxx?

If you have a gem of a vr domain. Would featureds perhaps boost the price more than expected ?

Or even better prevent it from being "stolen " for cheap ? Seen some domains sold on gd that should have sold for more but sold for low $xxx.

Sorry for the lengthy post.

First Person Tennis Simulates Grand Slams
January 16, 2017

First Person Tennis is taking the VR game experience to the next level, as Mikori Games created the first tennis simulator developed for HTC Vive. Instead of staring down on the court from a bird’s eye view, First Person Tennis simulates what it would actually look like if you were the one on the court.

Users can see their racket swinging with their movements and can watch the ball hit the court. The game features seven different court surfaces: clay, grass, hard, blue-green hard, classic synthetic, indoor hard and indoor synthetic. Users can also experience 13 tournaments, including four Grand Slams and the nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments. It’s realistic enough to where advertising from sponsors appear in the tennis venues that are featured.

For now, the only option is to have customized male players. Using the split screen features, a player can compete with a friend.

Lots of low offers on my GD domains. At least they are offers, nothing at all on Uni.

forgot to mention got an email from someone asking if VerbVR.com was available for purchase. can't remember off hand what my ask was I sent him.

I know there's a separate section for appraisal. but is asking mid to high $xxxx wishful thinking for this particular domain?it is one of those short 4L + VR.com's and I have the reverse.
