Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
VRCountry.com new addition (to go with VRIsland and VRVillage)

VRBuddy.com new addition | I think names having to with friendship and relationships should do well and Buddy as a keyword seemed versatile enough for a number of industries.

aftermarket?

There's been a lot of talk about advertising in vr and after doing some research into one of my names i noticed that "OOH" OUT-OF-HOME advertising is going to be a big hitter .....

Looks like my oohvr may get some interest sooner rather than later ;)

Yeah. I've watched this domain on GoDaddy expired auctions last week. Released to fixed price before day or two. I guess "D" got it for $10+8.5 and now is looking for fast flip with nice ROI close to 1000%:-D
Nevertheless, VRUp/Net is good aged domain.

What's next in virtual reality: podcast

http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2016/10/01/whats-next-virtual-reality---podcast/91297304/

"LOS ANGELES — We’ve been hearing about virtual reality all year long — but when will it really go mainstream?"

"On this week's extended weekend edition of the #TalkingTech podcast, three representatives from L.A-based VR studios guest on the show. Much of the focus so far has been gaming and productions for the HTC Vive VR system. Beyond there, look to movies and live events, like concerts

No problem, I do not intended to sell the DNs , I plan to set up a website about the stuff and sell the stuff in aff. in amazon.
Hmmmm, yeah... I'm P-R-E-T-T-Y sure there will STILL be a TM issue using them in this manner.

VRCountry.com would make a great domain for a website showing country music videos or concerts filmed in VR/360.

Along that line of live and filmed concerts and entertainment. Also have...

VRPop.com

VRHipHop.com

Entertainment and live events will present one of the largest area of opportunity for aftermarket domain sales imo

VRHighlights - HighlightsVR .coms

Formula E’s virtual reality race highlights are a whole new way to experience sports

Six months ago, Formula E — the all-electric racing series that was started in 2014 — announced that it was partnering with a company called Virtually Live in order to offer live broadcasts of its races in virtual reality. There was a twist, though: the VR races would be created using computer graphics, offering a sort of interactive video game-style experience where you could be on the track or even watch from right next to the cars. Unfortunately, there was also a second twist: those broadcasts never happened.

This past week, just 10 days or so before the start of Formula E’s third season, the two sides finally took the first step toward that goal of live VR broadcasts. Virtually Live has released four VR highlight packages from some of the best races of season two — Long Beach, Berlin, and the exciting double-header finale in London — for the HTC Vive as one free download in the Steam store. The experience was also released on HTC’s new Viveport marketplace, and it will be available for Oculus later this fall.

The total run time is around 20 minutes, but that’s for all four races combined. You can choose to watch the highlights of just one race, with each lasting about five minutes. The depth is impressive — you may not be driving the cars, but it’s also not a locked-down viewing experience.

When you boot up one of the highlight packages you are given freedom to move around almost the entire track, the pit lane, and the VIP club that Formula E sets up at each race. You can also follow any one of the 18 drivers on the track — with a POV from just outside the cars’ cockpits — and see real-time stats like their remaining battery percentage. (Their electronic steering wheels even light up.) With one of the Vive remotes, you can activate a floating menu that has a map of the course, and from there you can also choose between multiple stationary “TV camera” positions to watch from.

Google: The ‘Pokemon GO’ Server Issues Were Unavoidable

http://uploadvr.com/google-pokemon-go-server-issues-unavoidable/

"Pokémon Go generated 50 times more traffic on Google’s Cloud platform than developer Niantic was expecting, the company said today. The location-powered monster-catching augmented reality app was so popular that it was pinging the cloud 10 times more often than even the worst case scenario that Niantic and Google could possibly conceive of prior to launch. Eventually, after spooling up tens of thousands of cores in the cloud, Google and Niantic were able to meet the demand, and that pushed Pokémon Go into becoming the fastest ever mobile app to generate $500 million from the $36.6 billion gaming industry on smartphones and tablets.

“Throughout my career as an engineer, I’ve had a hand in numerous product launches that grew to millions of users,” writes Stone. “User adoption typically happens gradually over several months, with new features and architectural changes scheduled over relatively long periods of time. Never have I taken part in anything close to the growth that Google Cloud customer Niantic experienced with the launch of Pokémon Go.”

More than 500 million people have downloaded Pokémon Go, and throughout July and August, it had an average of 20 million daily active players."
