No, this is nonsense. Of course, no private organization (as the registry is) can collect payment like a formal tax. And the registry doesn't. It's up to the registrar to delete .de domains, what it usually does when you don't pay the fee. Or the registrar can return the domain to the registry...- Points: 0

ccTLD I wonder if you know this thing about .co
In addition to the fact that you always can find some few names registered in a "less famous" TLD which are available in a "more famous" TLD: I doubt that many of those names are registered because .co in general is a great TLD. I rather believe that many of those names are simply registered...- Points: 0

Yes, I forgot. Sorry. Adamsnames was the .gs registry for many years, but then they moved to Cocca. Alas, it's rather hard to contact people from Cocca. I own a .ms domain that I registered through Adamsnames, but after .ms moved to Cocca, i wasn't even able to renew the domain. Now it's...- Points: 0

I don't know any alternatives, but maybe you can ask the registry Adamsnames directly. Maybe they can help you transferring the domain to another registrar. My experience with these folks was really kind and helpful.- Points: 0

The problem is that all the interesting names (and much more) are reserved by the registry. Nearly all English dictionary words together with many from other languages cannot currently be registered. The funny thing is: According to domaintools.com, transport.pro was solr in September 2008 for $550. I wonder who's buying a domain and then dropping it not even four years later. It's not that strange as with video.pro in 2007, but it's still noteworthy.- Points: 0

Okay, go.pro made it for $40,000! :kickass: I wanted to buy gay.pro, but I bid $2,500 and the reserve price still was not met. Maybe I just didn't understand the bidding process, I raised my offer until $2,500 but the high bid left at $705. Although I didn't find out how to raise the high bid...- Points: 0
