It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

Inactive? How?

I don't see any problem.

If you check the whois of any of my pros at Encirca (for example, Yoga.pro), status appears as "inactive" and domain is not resolving.

Some hours ago everything was alright: status was "ok" and domains working. :|

I guess this may be something about pro credentials... No problem if so! But I have not received any mail, nor other notice!!!

I own pro ones from about 2007 and this is the first time that it happens...

The same happened to me, and I gave my credentials three (?) years ago.

Domains at other extensions at Encirca are still resolving.

I'll ask Encirca's support about it.

I opened a ticket at Encirca more than 5 hours ago at "Critical" level, but no response yet...

I also wrote to Registry.pro support with same result.

This is not serious at all! :(

Low quality LLL.com frequently sell below $5,000.

The minimum for LLL.net is about $350+ and .ORG is about $200+

.PRO will obviously never sell for those amounts. I think your bar in unrealistically high.

Photo-pro at $18K.

This is what I meant by establishing a high ceiling (or at least higher) for Pros. Doesn't matter to me if it's a 3L, a 4L or a 10L. If a name like Photo-pro can sell for 18K then IMO Job.pro should be worth more. That doesn't mean that it's going to sell for more, just that it's worth more. Sorry if I misspoke. I frequently do. LOL.

My Sail.pro is still resolving, not sure what is going on.

Of course I haven't checked them all but I'm not having any trouble. And I've never had nameserver changes take more than a few minutes to resolve.

Guess the sales will fall into next weeks list on dnjournal I emailed all the ones mentioned on this board., but could very well have all sold past May 1'st which would push them to next weeks report. Maybe the people on this board could also email them as there are quite a few good sales.

The sale of photo.pro occurred on 3-28-2011. However, I was just advised by Ron Jackson that the sale was omitted from Afternic's list, and will not be reported in the Journal until next week. I will carefully follow up and, in the mean time, will send you and Andrew verification for your respective websites...:talk:

Thank you. I would expect that you will. Inquiries to my sales site have been rising steadily, with many coming from investment groups and the like. I also recently countered an offer of 30k for one of my better domains, but can not comment further at this time...

That's good news per the sales. I own celebrity.pro, purchased from someone on this forum a few years ago. I had an inquiry from a Hollywood media company in 2008, right before the Great Depression. However, afterwards, they contacted me and said they were putting a moratorium on domain acquisitions at that time.

I find these huge bargains for the buyers, pretty much all of them tbh.

Similar keywords in any other gtld would have been mega price sales.

But its nice to see movement in terms of sales, interesting.

Chas, thanks for compiling the list. However beware of the namebio data as I think it is corrupted by sedo's faulty?! rss feed. Some of the sales on the list did not happen this year. For example Music.pro which was sold quite a few years back 2006 and documented here http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2006/domainsales09_26_06.htm and corresponds to the sale date on total.pro.

Great to see a few more .pro's selling. Is anyone keeping track of how many of these sales are getting developed?
