We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Someone else has listed a name I own for sale on Dan.com. It is in my GoDaddy account and I have it listed for sale on Afternic. How do I get Dan to remove the listing so it can be added to my Dan account? Note, I've owned the name since 2017. I wonder how long someone has been squatting over on Dan

Kind off topic, but that literally happens on Dan 95% of times I buy a name lately. Hey, unknown domainer, can you just delete a name you don't own anymore from Dan and make our life easier? And it's getting more ridiculous when you only want to use Dan so nobody else would add the name you own.

There are strong indications that domain frontrunning is a major source of the problem, at least for my domains.Repeatedly, the unauthorized listings get removed, then reappear with different seller names.

In retrospect, with Afternic, adding my domains to the Fast Transfer network may have precipitated some of the unauthorized listings on Dan. Most recently, I had had a bunch of rogue listings removed from Dan, only to have almost 3 dozen reappear after signing up for Sedo MLS (Sedo's fast-transfer equivalent).

The good news is that Afternc appears to have stopped the automatic propagation of unverified Dan listings. So at least the 3 dozen rogue listings on Dan aren't appearing on Afternic.

Afternic/GoDaddy may have honored my request for a block on any further relisting of my domains without verification. ( I do not use Dan or Afternic anymore. ) While Dan has about 3 dozen unauthorized listings of my domains, Afternic has none this time. That is progress.

Well, if you are an Afternic customer, do you already have the added Ns3 or txt verification? That may be sufficient proof of ownership to enable the removal.

You could ask Dan via the contact page or [email protected].

For myself, for Dan and Afternic, I was able to verify ownership having privacy off on the affected domains. Dan and Afternic then manually removed the unauthorized listings.

As an update, Dan support did remove the rogue listings within hours of my request. They did so with privacy temporarily turned off for the verification.

Afternic seems to no longer have any of the rogue listings showing up. It is unclear if this is due to their adding a block to subsequent relisting attempts. I have asked Dan if they can provide such a block on their platform.

If you are intending to list on Dan anyhow, the blocking feature is moot. But if your preference is to simply be on Afternic and not have to worry about any more Dan "squatters" then perhaps Afternic can advocate for you. Perhaps they could have Dan place the apprpriate relisting-without-verification blocks there for your domain(s)?

I have already delisted more than 400 domains from Afternic market, probably, the rest should be removed too. I don't want to get such surprises from GD team

Personal i am full responsible for what happen to me
if you don't want use Afternic your choice , me still i will use , but probably when you sell 20 domains in aprox 10 days can up some verification
No doubt i will receive money but some of sales past 7 to 10 days as show in message when a domain is sold via Fast Transfer& not receive money for 7 of them

@GoDaddy, I want to use an Afternic market! Please do not violate my rights, allow access to Afternic by Russian iPs. Now it is prohibited. ! ask you not to offend citizens of my country and discover full access for them both to Afternic and to Dan! My message is related to this branch, there I can’t go to the Afterlnic without using VPN. It turns out that the AFTERNIC platform is not for everyone and discriminates to citizens of other countries. I ask Afternic team to observe democratic principles and open access to its domain market for all. This is a big problem that needs to be solved.

I also ask you to answer the question why your team allows russian domainers to list domains at Afternic and do not allows to list them at Dan? This is not a politic, but a simple question that requires clear answer.

Unfortunately, Afternic is still unable to expedite the payment process to Sellers. Have a good night.

Afternic will probably combine these payments into 1 payment. This makes it difficult to see which domains have been processed. So that extra frustration awaits you once you get paid. Anyway, you shouldn't worry at this point.
