DaaZ.com is a premium domain names marketplace owned by DaaZ Limited, London (UK).

Key vision of DaaZ.com is helping buyers and sellers to transact with each other in a trusted way.

DaaZ.com key focus is end user focused sales and we have been operational since August 2019 and we have made a quite good progress and supported few thousands buyers buying domains via DaaZ and also having around 800+ sellers offering their inventory for sale. We have registered buyer base of 4000+ buyers.

It may not be lot in terms of numbers, we are the youngest marketplace (without any registrar presence). We have made a good reputation and able to build the traction.

How we are different ?

We may not be too different at moment, we are sharing what we believe is our core offerings:
  • We have developed a platform which is having a very good buyers interface, specially helping wholesale or repeated buyers securing domain names.
  • We allow the listings for free, it's open for all sellers (aka domainers) and support 1400+ domain extensions
  • Sellers can run any time auctions. This feature help for regular cash-flow needed by the sellers. (Disclaimer: At present very few end users participate into these auctions, mostly domainers / resellers winning the names )
  • Lowest Success Fee: Our success fee is 8% (with chargeback protection included) is the lowest in the industry offered by any domain name marketplace.
  • We pay to the sellers via PayPal / Wire transfers. No PayPal withdrawal or pay-out fees, all fees covered by DaaZ with in 8% success fee (In short, no indirect fees)
  • We offer live chat support round the clock (Although we are not officially 24/7, we are offering near 24/7 support). We look after our buyers and sellers with great attention.
  • We love automation of the processes; however we do believe the human interaction with the buyers makes a lot of difference. So, we automated what we believe is required to automate and we kept those human interactions with the buyers or sellers where we believe is required to be in place
We are open to listening to our buyers and sellers and improve the platform every month. We are making two improvement releases a month to fix the product related issues and also bringing new features.

We believe our customers are our gods and we help them in all possible means we can. That's clearly reflecting in our customer reviews, we are proud to share we are a new market place however according to Trustpilot we have secured the highest customer trust among all domain name market places in 2020 with 4.9 trust rating : https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/daaz.com

What we believe we need to improve ?

We believe a platform will be never perfect and has to continue to listen to our customers and deliver a platform of their choice. So, we have a clear outlined process to receive the feedback and handle the product improvements effectively
  • We are relatively a young platform, so we have a lot of room to improve on number of features and catch-up, we are addressing the backlog with a lot of passion
  • We are aware that we need to bring the installment plan, rent to own features, also a powerful API to help the bulk sellers. We have clearly these features in our product road-map for 2021.
  • We have a lot more innovative ideas not attempted by any other marketplace, we are focusing to address the industry standard offerings first before moving on delivering these innovative ideas to help the domain investors / sellers
  • We also record every suggestion given by our buyers and sellers, we analyse the feedback, and all the appropriate feedback is getting added to backlog
  • Our road-map is ready for next 5 years and we will do everything possible to help to improve the standards of domain name marketplace
We love to listen to the NamePros community hence we are setting up this Official thread.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What the heck I already sent documents and got verified are you telling me I have to redo all of these again??
We will do everything possible to avoid that until unless the regulations / law demand so. Digital KYC solution we are going to bring will be a strategic solution.

Is there is any benefit of using ns1/2.daaz.com rather than ns1/ns2.daaz.org for the landers? I originally was using the .com versions, which seemed to load quickly and not cause any difficulty resolving. I then realized the website indicated that daaz.org should be used instead or the NS.

At the moment, switching to .org, it does not appear to be going as smoothly. Currently, 11/13 listings are not resolving to the landers.

Also, is anyone else having an issue at this moment with the Daaz landers not loading?

Please use ns1.daaz.org and ns2.daaz.org , these are the right name servers.
Please contact our support team, we can look into the issue you have mentioned and resolve the same. thank you

Thanks for the response.
The landers were working today, using the .org. They are nice landers, and do load quickly. Thanks for having them!

Note that it might be great to add to your domain store specifically a link stating to see other domain names of the domain seller.

Alternatively, for the Domain seller name, place it in a different color or an underline, to suggest to someone using the lander to click there for more information on that domain seller AND see their other domains in their domain store (if they have one).

Domain store is enabled by default. Some sellers give a brand for their store, some keep them as private sellers. the choice is up to the sellers.
Couple of themes it highlights nicely , I believe 1 or 2 themes the store link is not highlighted. We will improve those themes too.

Thank you for listening to the suggestions. Having the link highlighted in all of the themes may make sense.

One humble, simple question here:

Have you actually seen, on your platform, that more domain sales happen when someone lands on a lander or marketplace listing, and then goes to the seller's store?

Or, do less sales happen? In other words, the potential buyer sees the domain, and may have simply proceeded to buy it. Instead, now being presented with the link to the store, they end up being distracted by the other choices, and end up not buying anything?

So, what really has proven to be effective? Have you ever tested this on your marketplace, to see what REALLY works best generally?

The best option is linking to store.

Most of the sales are directly from landing pages , circa 3% sales browsing the store feature.

Store feature mainly helpful to present all your inventory to prospective buyers , just giving them more choice. More choice in terms of pricing , more choice in terms of name quality.

e.g; A seller has listed a name at BIN price of 9999 USD , prospective buyer has visited the landing page first and later found the store link and browsed your inventory. found another alternative name listed for 1999 USD and completed the checkout.

Similar examples we have noticed for quality of names too, but as said earlier such sales around 3% of overall sales.

We have released a new theme "Simple2" , this has some similarity with "Simple" theme we have released in January month.

e.g: AndhraPradesh.com

Simple2 theme supports BIN, Make an Offer, Lease to Own listings.

Description can be edited as per domain sellers interest.

e.g of Simple theme: NDNV.com

Folllow DaaZ Twitter for further details on this update.

Two questions/suggestions:
  1. As a seller, when submitting counter-offers, can we increase the price? Currently we can only equal or lower our previous offer.
  2. When buyers close negotiations, can we receive email notifications? I was on Daaz at the time so it didn't matter, but it would have been good to receive an email in case I missed it.

I think it would be better to show the minimum price on lease to own' field

Thank you for the Simple and Simple2 additions to the landers.

Your marketplace is clearly making significant strides to improvise the platform. It is great to see that the landers appear to have no issues with UBlock. And the loading time appears to be excellent.

One suggestion at this point would be to perhaps tweak the searches, so one could quickly narrow down the focus to only .com or other major tld's (.e. .net, .org). This did seem a bit challenging, to find the .com among all the many choices. This might improve sales?

Thanks, again, for the continued improvements on the landers.

  1. As a seller, when submitting counter-offers, can we increase the price? Currently we can only equal or lower our previous offer.
If the counter offer is expired, yes you can increase the counter offer.. while the negotiations are active and trying to increase the price from what you quoted earlier, there is a restriction at moment. This was based a on a behavioural survey we have done. Also most of the times buyers accuse the marketplace encouraging bad ethics.

e.g: You have received an inquiry on a name with a starting offer of 1000 USD

As a seller you have countered that with 15000 USD

Inquirer has countered with 10000 USD

Now you want to ask for 25000 USD , it will frustrate the buyer and make the buyer not to buy or will accuse for following the bad ethics or marketplace is too much seller biased.

So we have tried to balance that to meet both yours and as well as buyers expectations with that restriction.

If in case you have accidentally placed lower offer, you can revoke the offer just chatting with the support team.

I will certainly feedback your suggestion to our product manager, please quote the scenario where you believe this feature could help you. Appreciate if you can help me on this one.

Yes you must receive email notification in this scenario. Please contact support team, certainly we can help on this one for sure.

We will improve the search experience. Thank you for your feedback, I believe this is already one of the items we have in our backlog already. We will address that and thanks again for the valuable feedback.

For someone browsing for potential domains to buy, a low "Make Offer" price, visible up front without clicking, may be a useful way to start getting an offer going. It's an added "carrot on the stick!"

not only dan.com,but also squadhep, they also set like this.when the customer comes in, then find that the bin is very expensive and going to leave, but the price of a installment payment display is very cheap, so the chance of her purchase will increase greatly

They definitely have lease to own available. In fact, if you look at their front page at daaz.com, the domains that have the LTO have what looks like a calendar next to them. You can click on that, and choose the length of the lease to own plan.

good cause I find dan multi year extra charges highly disturbing to.buyer and seller.. no such thing at daaz? example... lately we agreed with buyer for 9999usd sale price on 5yr... but I had to rework the whole bin to 7700usd so that he ends up paying 9999 total aftr 5yr... else on 9999 bin he would pay like 12k... 7700 bin means he pays 9999 then dan gets like half and I get half of the 30percent overcharge..
real complex.and bad for sale..... how would this look on daaz? what.fees... what bin...etc... ty

In this negotiation, after the $577 I wanted to respond with an amount slightly higher than $1,000 in case they were bluffing.
