It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
For this review, I received a request from Trustpilot:

"Epik.com believes your review was meant for another business. Do you agree?

No/Yes"

I answered no.
After that, the view remained unchanged.
Are they implying that Masterbucks is a different company and I should have reviewed Masterbucks?
Is this the latest scheme by Epik to try and remove these legitimate negative reviews?

They already flagged several.

There were apparently "suggestions" behind the scenes that some customers should remove their negative review(s).

The bottom line here is the Masterbucks LLC did not exist at the time Epik decided to freeze customer funds. You can't (be forced to) enter into a contract with a company that doesn't exist.

These reviews are related to the Epik owned company Masterbucks.

The debts are the responsibility of Epik. A newly formed company in Wyoming and imposed TOS does not change that, especially after Brian Royce admitted the funds were "commingled".

Brian Royce also said - "the separation of operations wasn't there".

Epik is still the governor of the new company, per their filing for a foreign LLC in Washington.

There is no legitimate argument that can be made that Epik and Masterbucks have ever operated as separate entities.

There is a suspicion that no one was paid this week.
Can someone dispel this suspicion?

I am not aware of anyone reporting that they were paid last week.

I wrote the same review on Trustpilot for Epik and Masterbucks and posted it on both Trustpilot accounts. In this review, I tried to explain the connection between Epik and Masterbucks and why it is appropriate to cross-reference them in reviews on Trustpilot. So far, these reviews have not yet appeared on Trustpilot. Can you suggest a better explanation?

Masterbucks LLC was established on September 15, 2022. Its governor is the company Epik Holdings Inc.
Masterbucks is an online withdrawal dashboard that serves Epik Holdings Inc. in relation to payments for domain names, including escrow transactions with domain names.
Epik account on Trustpilot - epik.com, Masterbucks account on Trustpilot - masterbucks.com.
I sold domain names on Epik's escrow platform.
The money I receive as a result of selling domain names on Epik's escrow platform is displayed on the Masterbucks dashboard, and there I order the withdrawal of money from Epik.
Therefore, when I write reviews about Epik, I mention Masterbucks, and vice versa, it makes sense to mention Epik in Masterbucks reviews.
Epik has recently turned to Trustpilot, and Trustpilot has turned to reviewers to find out if the reviews are written about appropriate companies.
It seems that in this way Epik wants to clear his Trustpilot account of negative reviews.
But this should not work, since Epik and Masterbucks work in conjunction, and cross-references about them in the reviews on Trustpilot are appropriate and logical.

This thread is making me a little uneasy since I just listed 15 domains on NameLiquidate earlier this week.

I would like to know if anyone has gotten paid from Masterbucks too?

Do you feel I should remove my auctions there due to this issue? Nothing has sold yet....

I will mention last year around this time I sold 2 low dollar value domains on NameLiquidate and had no problems withdrawing my Masterbucks funds to my Paypal...

Does anyone understand this tweet? IS he trying to say one of Epik's companies is running a crypto scam?

The domain mentioned, XN--UNISAP-Z57B.COM (Created 2022-10-26), is registered at Epik, so most likely it's a courtesy notice to them, so that their abuse team (Brian?) can take action. Probably it's about a customer of Epik, not Epik the company itself.

The IP address mentioned is from Partner LLC / PARTNER-AS, from Russia/Kazakhstan.

It is a huge risk, I couldn't feel safe listing anything there, no trust at all to receive your money.

Thanks. This is so disheartening because I really liked the NameLiquidate reverse auction format, and made it an essential tool before simply dropping/trimming domains each year.

What a mess...

It is understandable that a business may not like negative reviews. If Epik wants to stop this flow - there are 2 options imho:

1) start paying.
2) start reporting or flagging reviews.

As per https://legal.trustpilot.com/for-everyone/action-we-take :

Reviews can be reported where they:
  • contain harmful or illegal content;
  • contain personal information;
  • contain advertising or promotional information;
  • are not based on a genuine experience;
  • are about a different business (only businesses can report for this reason).
It appears that Epik opted to use the 5th reason (the last resort?).

However, as per Trustpilot transparency report:

At the end of December 2021, Trustpilot had a team of approximately 88 employees including agents, investigators, lawyers, technology experts and communications and training specialists, supporting the Group’s focus on trust and transparency.

Also, Carolyn Jameson (Chief Trust Officer) is of opinion that:

We continue to do all we can to protect and promote trust online. I remain confident that we have the right mix of technology and expertise to prevent and minimise the impact on our community of consumers and businesses who gain so much from engaging with each other on Trustpilot.

Trustpilot is a serious business and they offer various ways to contact them:

Users can report stuff via the following link:

https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Any decision of the Content Integrity Team can be disputed via:

https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/e...-decision-made-by-the-Content-Integrity-Team-

Extra reference:

https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/e...isuse-of-our-reporting-function-by-companies-

Actually, it would probably make sense to ask some HUMAN (not bot!) from Trustpilot to decide should masterbucks experience be reviewed in Epik section or not... Screenshots from the following posts may help -

/One needs to have trustpilot account though, as well as flagged reviews./

I'm still listing dropping names there.

There isn't a better place. 😕

Typically I generate a lot of sales on NameLiquidate. Last 2 months have been extremely slow.

I didn't understand why until I started talking to other domain investors about Epik and saw this thread.

It's very frustrating as NL is truly a great and revolutionary concept. I've made a lot of money back on domains I would have gotten Zero for before.

I have never withdrawn Masterbucks money though. Only used for renewals.

Thanks @Domain boy.

What's the link to the review, or maybe a screenshot?

My reviews are (the same) to justify the cross-references of Epik and Masterbucks in the reviews.
At Epik
At Masterbucks

By the way, Epik's rating has dropped to 3.3.

The review is quite long as I wanted it to be complete of all trouble i faced, but here is the first part of it.

To see the full review, you can go on trustpilot and sort the epik reviews by the most recent one. My name there is the same as on this forum.

You guys are ruining this important thread. Stop it.

When it comes down to serious matters like we're discussing, you cannot take the easy way out and question just one side of the story. That's just too easy, especially considering an easy target like E.

My final saying regarding this matter. Anyone wanting to discuss in a civil matter feel free to reach out as long as you don't resort to degenerate insults like some have.

Yes, it is unusual for me as well to have no interest/bids with 15 names listed. I have had success there in the past. But I think the issues they are having are making folks hesitant.

I am going to let my auctions run out, but I stopped listing there after reading this thread.

Is there anywhere else as effective for listing dropping names??

Assuming it's a working hypothesis that Epic didn't pay anyone this week, how can that be explained? Have they completely run out of money? Are there any chances that they will have money for settlements with debtors?

If they miss a payment to the investment company, that they owe millions, will then become the owner of Epik, if they so chose. If that happens then monster will certainly stop making payments and there will probably radio silence during that process.

Maybe it would be better if the investors take over the company and hire a good manager to revive the company.
