It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Yeah, I guess all it took was 24 hours*

* - After freezing customer funds for around a month without any advanced notice, and being largely non-responsive about it. At the same time not being fully straightforward about what is actually going on, missing a deadline, and flagging negative reviews.

Let the bank run begin...

This does not absolve them for what they have done.

I am going to use all my masterbucks money to renew a few domains as I am transferring the rest out.

Strange thing ... I have 2FA enabled with Epik. If I try to login at epik.com, the site is asking for Google code, but Masterbucks.com is not asking, I just logged in only with user / passwd.

I hope everyone gets their funds, but this entire thing is a lesson in how you should not run a business.

After the massive data breach, I would want to know what Epik does with the identity documents before I sent them.

Are they using industry standard practices, for instance being stored on non internet connected hardware?

Is 2.5% the standard Wise fee? Or is Epik making money off that too, on top of escrow fees?

So, where are Masterbucks ToS? The link to their "terms and conditions" still points to Epik privacy policy stating "In rare cases, Epik may request further information on a strictly voluntary basis".

Never mind. There’s actually a Fee Table here: https://masterbucks.com/fee

It says clearly that the fee for most are 2.5%. Cheapest one is ACH but only for US accounts.

In their Q&A, they talk of "Veriff". I understand they must be using an external service and not taking the info themselves

Hmm. This doesn't sound much different than Paypal's recently announced disastrous policy that they backtracked from.

https://masterbucks.com/acceptable

You are independently responsible for complying with all applicable laws in all of your actions related to your use of Masterbucks services, regardless of the purpose of the use. In addition, you must adhere to the terms of this Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a violation of the Masterbucks Terms Of Service and may subject you to damages, including liquidated damages of $2,500.00 U.S. dollars per violation, which may be debited directly from your Masterbucks account(s) as outlined in the “Restricted Activities and Holds” section of the Masterbucks Terms of Service Agreement).

  • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information;

Among other things...

How is this different than Paypal's policy that everyone trashed?

Requested withdrawal on Sept 14. Verification completed and confirmed on Sept 27. Today I received an email asking me to verify again. I could log into Masterbucks but the withdrawal is "Pending". I have transferred out my last domain at Epik. I don't have much hope in this matter.

The site is up which is good news, but next question is when will your withdrawals actually be approved. Many have already verified their accounts but have to do it again.

The main issue is when will you get your money, what is the deadline for that?

What if you dont have $2500 in Masterbucks ? Do they start some kind of collection on you ?

I also think everybody needs an official appology by Epik and a detailed explanation of what happened, what was updated and when you will get your money.

So you cannot speak against Epik. Censorship at its finest. Not even sure that kind of statement is lawful as there are consumer protections in place. So glad I stopped using MB.
