It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Why not? Wouldn't you want everybody who is owed money to contact them too.

We can assume everyone will only most likely email with their concern. But in the event that someone ends up spamming the emails and making the Epik staff unable to read or—worse—access their emails, we’d all have accomplished nothing.

I’d say let’s save the exposés once all of our funds are released. Then I’ll gladly post their contact info too for everyone who wants to complain.

I already have a case filed with the Attorney General of Washington. But the ATG themselves take 4-6 weeks to resolve their process. My case was logged on Sept 24 and we are still far from even the lower end of that range.

My date is whichever comes first, that date the papers are served to Epik, or the date that Epik finally resolves this matter. Frankly right now, all I can do is wait out both.

If I start spamming them with insults and emails now, I won’t accomplish anything. And as a Buyer in the Escrow, anything that will result into my Seller from getting their funds getting delayed even more (e.g., if it comes down to a legal matter) will hurt the Seller even more.

Logically, the best way for me and the Seller is if Epik can resolve the Masterbucks issue as soon as they can.

Well, the much hyped date of October 10th has now passed.

Masterbucks is still "under maintenance".
There has been no public update about it.

The statement about Masterbucks re-opening on October 10th has proven to be objectively false.
All the people in authority @ Epik remain publicly silent.

We are no closer to knowing what is actually going on, or when it will be resolved.

It has been weeks. This is getting absurd.

I doubt some customer support person knows much more than we do.

There are likely a handful of people who know what is actually going on. All of those people like Brian Royce and Rob Monster are saying absolutely nothing publicly.

Rob was responding to me until he had to sleep an hour ago.

He sent me a screenshot of his dev asking for more time. Rob now says it will take until Tuesday/Pacific Time for Masterbucks to be up. (Honestly at this point, I will believe it when I see it!)

From his messages, he’s saying that the updates done on Masterbucks is so it can be allowed by the authorities to operate. As to what the changes particularly entail, I also don’t know.

The devs are based in Eastern Europe and they allegedly have been working 16hr days.

If this is a legit system update that they’re doing—the first issue they have is Project Management because they cannot abide by their own timelines. The second is Change Management because a process should not be stopping for more than a month when the system is being updated.

Epik wouldn’t pass ITSM on its current standards.

It's been around a month. How much time do they need?

Also, why the public silence? It is only making matters worse for them.

It is hard to tell if the new CEO sucks, or he was just handed a turd.

As a former backend dev myself, usually when we quote mandays for projects, that includes the hours/days for testing until it gets pushed into Prod.

Either this project team don’t know that standard, or there really is no system update happening and we’re all just wasting our time.

I’m still even skeptical that the new CEO exists because I have not spoken to him (phone or email) and have only interacted with Rob and Brian’s Assistant so far.

Are they still in Ukraine? There were rumors that they are. So are most of Namecheap team btw. If so, one should expect delays and/or lack of internet access right now. Depending on their exact location etc., they may not have electricity in the first place.

I guess that is what you can expect when you freeze people's funds for weeks and then when the magical October 10th date passes, the system is still down and there are no updates.

Can someone please DM me the same screenshot of that engineer? If it's sent to multiple people, I think it's safe if i could have a firsthand look. May be it might give me a hope.

Even if developers are running late (and they usually do), why not keep people updated. This thread would be 5 pages long if they said they need to change things for legal reasons and update daily what developers are up to. Is a bank holding their funds pending a review of the new system? If they violated some laws, the bank could've been ordered to freeze their accounts. All we could do is guess. 2022 will go down in the record books of the most amount of people in history waiting for money from some exchange or escrow. A lot of people are very wealthy if only they get their money from somewhere :xf.rolleyes:

I think their ultimate aim is to reduce media exposure while they sort this, hence why no one from Epik is addressing this on Namepros and other venues, as it will add fuel to the fire.

When all this is sorted, there will be very little damage to the Epik brand, apart from a Namepros thread and a few Trustpilot reviews, which are ultimately easy to sort with a reputation repair campaign.
