The only way to end this Pandemic is if the majority of the people around the World get vaccinated.

It's amazing that several vaccines have already been developed in record time and thus far they all show very good results as far as creating some level of immunity against Covid19 without causing any major side effects and supposedly even if those who have been vaccinated come down with the disease it won't be at the more severe levels that require hospitalization.

There are many companies that are working on the vaccine although the top contenders currently are Moderna, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca:

I personally would be first in line to get the vaccine as I am in the older category with some history of heart problems and although I believe that everyone should be free to make their own choices, but this will only be effective in stopping the Pandemic if the majority of the people (like over 80% or so) get vaccinated.

Please do your own research about the vaccines and indicate your choice in the poll (visible to all) and post any justification for your decision as to whether you are going to get the vaccine or not below.

Weekly epidemiological update on COVID-19 - 23 March 2021

"Globally, COVID-19 confirmed cases continued to rise for a fourth consecutive week, with just under 3.3 million new cases reported in the last week . Concurrently, the number of new deaths reported plateaued after a six week decrease, with just over 60 000 new deaths reported. A marked increase in the number of new cases was reported from the South East Asia, Western Pacific, European and Eastern Mediterranean regions, all of which are on an upward trajectory in recent weeks. The European Region and the Region of the Americas continue to account for nearly 80% of all the cases and deaths."

EU announces plan for tougher controls on coronavirus vaccine exports

  • "Officials are concerned that pharmaceutical firms will miss delivery targets in the coming months.
  • And the commission, the EU's executive arm, wants to ensure that member states will receive all the shots that have been promised for the second quarter.
  • These vaccines will be critical in order to reach its target of vaccinating 70% of the EU's adult population by the end of the summer."

I hope that there will be some improvements in the near future in the way that vaccines are made, stored, distributed, and administered by all the companies involved.

Saving lives should be everyone's goal both as far as those who are vulnerable to Covid and also when it comes to the unborn children who are being needlessly and systematically killed.

For now getting vaccinated seems to be the only way that this virus can be brought under control, but we should not lose sight of all the other issues that are also as important.

If we are to use the vaccines that are currently available to survive through this Pandemic it should be with the condition that we'll do our best to fix all that has been ailing Humanity and our Home planet for so long.

Rutgers to Require COVID-19 Vaccine for Students
https://www.rutgers.edu/news/rutgers-require-covid-19-vaccine-students

isn't that wonderful ??

Education is a wonderful thing. Nobody is forcing anyone to take the vaccine. It's only for the protection of students should they choose to study on-campus.

Always important to remember the PCR test is fraudulent in regards to diagnosing sickness and infectious diseases.

I still see no world wide effort to educate people on some things they can do at home, ie: death and intensive care were cut in half just by taking a low dose aspirin every day, it is the clotting that kills most people and aspirin and vitamin E are good blood thinners, as well as some other preventatives, like zinc, high dose vitamin C, vitamin D, etc. I am not a health nut, but have been a diabetic for over 20 years, a cold used to knock me out for a week. Now ifI get a sniffle I take emergency C +, which has 1k vitamin C, zinc, vitamin D, etc. I havent been real sick for 2 years. There was a NYC emergency room doctor in March of last year that was screaming on the news saying it is not a pneumonia killing people it is blood clotting in the lungs and other organs. The first thing many hospitals are doing now is giving a shot to stop clotting when a person is admitted.Well why not give preventatives before they need hospitalization.

I don't require vaccinations to attend my university, they just need to be open-minded. :xf.wink:

Very good points,

It's also worth mentioning that receiving supplementary oxygen at the first signs of the onset of Covid can make a lot of difference as to how severe the symptoms are going to become later on.

Using a simple oxygen sensor like the kind you put on your finger (cost as low as $20) or one from a smart watch or band can help save countless number of lives. (specially for the elderly who need to be monitored more closely before having low oxygen causes them Hypoxia.)

The truth of the matter is that every method that we have available to us whether through modern medical technology or the ancient holistic and natural remedies has its own limitations and still needs to evolve to a higher level if we are to be able to conquer disease.

For now the best approach might be to combine all these different methods as each can give us some advantages in certain situations.

We also need to get AI more involved in medicine and let it learn from all these different methods so that we can benefit from the combined knowledge and skills that it can achieve later on.

Science and traditional medicine need not be mutually exclusive, both have evolved from a common root and presumably have the same goal. Perception is a key factor, it's not all or nothing. I'm going out to harvest some traditional medicine this afternoon, but still I had to get clearance from security as the community is still on full lockdown.
