Just happens that I own the .ca version

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Who knows, maybe the .ca will finally get some action.

PS... I owned joy.ca as well until cira took it away.

Does any .ca Dropcatch provider show in auction, what other user id’s you are bidding against, or is this an industry wide thing of cloaking bidder id’s?

A previous .ca heavy hitter was active in trying to raise funds last week, I wonder if it has anything to do with this two letter?

It went for around $5800. Just under $6000.
I was in auction for it but I didn’t go any higher than $4500.

Cheers!

After doing a small search on here, found out what YO went for.

You can see someone’s bidder ID at pool. I like the idea of knowing who you’re up against.

You have done an excellent job throughout the year which I’m sure all of us Canadians appreciate. A week off is acceptable but don’t let it happen again. lol :)

Merry Christmas to all.

What the heck, take the year off, you're killing me by giving out free research! Let them earn it, or at least pay you for access to your research! :)

lol I agree, it's only good for traffic to your site, for the rest it is giving people who don't want to do the research a leg up. Not to be a dick lol but let every one do there own research.

DW is at $3100 with 2 hours to go? Let’s place our bets and see what it will go for. I’m still sticking to my $5K.

DW went for $4550. So I was off by $450. If this was the Price is right, I would have lost! lol

Nice payday for Siber:xf.grin:

And MyID must be steamed that another LL.ca won't be part of their registry, and potentially never leave.

Hello

Is there any real end-user market for .ca domains or is it all just hope for the future?

Thanks,

Danto

Had an interesting thing happen with CIRA today. Bought 3 .ca names but instead of CIRA sending the “change of registrant - confirmation required” email to me, they sent all 3 emails to the current owner. Has this happened to anyone here?

There is definitely an end-user market for .CA domains, but it is much smaller pool of buyers (Canada is ~10% the size of the US) so it is decidedly top-heavy and really need to treat .CA investment like the top 10% of the .COM market.

LL and NN domains, high-end LLL combos, core/singular 1-words, highly-recognizable/popular 2-words.

You swim around in the bottom 90% of the .CA domains and you'll get eaten.

Haven’t had that happen nafti.
Don’t remember getting any approvals from CIRA
Usually once the seller has unlocked it and I enter the Auth code it comes to my account and takes my registrant info followed by CIRA sending me confirmation of change of registrant and registrar (if changing registrars).

Yes, that’s what I normally get when I use Namespro but if I transfer a domain into Epik, it works differently for me. So I had to email Epik for them to email CIRA to send me the “change of registrant” email. I recently transferred domains from my Namespro account into my Epik account without a hitch but for some odd reason, I have been getting issues.
