I am not sure about what statistics you are referring to. Please share.
9-11 was one mass murder that didn't involve a gun.
Do you believe in DUI checkpoints? It catches some drunks, people who shouldn't be driving. Does it eliminate drunk driving? No. Should be stop it because of that? Or course not.
And the stuff from who you guys want to call the left, is basic, common sense stuff the majority of Americans agree with, even Republicans.
Maybe raising the age to get a gun. In Florida before that school shooting, you had to be 21 to get a handgun, 18 to get an AR-15, does that make sense? No, it didn't.
Universal background checks. The majority of Americans, Republicans as well support that.
How about the Federal Assault Weapons ban that expired in 2004, start that up again. Most people support that. It was in effect from 1994-2004. People could still buy guns for protection, sport, hunt etc during that time.
That one killer mentioned in the article had a 100 round drum. Do you really need that?
The things being suggested, are supported by most people.
And this nonsense with video games and mental health. This nonsense has been gone over to death. Other countries have violent video games, some even more violent. Mental health issues, anybody can have those.
We're the country that has these mass shootings. We have more guns than people, easy access.
I watched this show about an American living in Japan, they have to go thru a lot to be able to own a gun. He went thru it, got the gun. They don't have these issues.
I'm curious which ones of the common sense measures mentioned above, would affect anybody here? Probably none.
