Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think this might be against Undeveloped's TOS?
You basically tell the potential buyers to move away from the platform and deal with you privately via email.
I'm not sure I got this right but that's how it looks like...
Perhaps you are right, but all deals are still completed within undeveloped. Can @Undeveloped clarify this? I can remove the email if this is against your policy. Regards.

its a nice idea if someone just wants to ask you a question... but im not sure if they allow it

this is all the more reason to allow us to msg buyer before responding to his offer.. I mean sometimes you just wanna talk to buyer first before counter... plus if you just reject his offer it may have negative impact... even subconciously on buyer.. and he may not wanna talk again if you msg him after rejecting etc..

plus its just plain limiting to be forced into counter/reject before u can talk to buyer... and as we all know @Undeveloped is supposed to be the leader in openmindness and innovation when comes to domain selling! am i right or am i right ;)

I asked them this very same question a month or so ago and was told that based on their research and data they see a higher closure rate on sales if you send a counter offer first.

What is the best or fastest way to handle a sales of a domain reg'd at NetSol ?

I mean if I have a domain for sale, come to agreement with the buyer, he pays, UD says its a go. But every time they want the transfer code. Now I have to request the transfer code and that takes 3 days and then the transfer takes 5 days. I really don't like that process and makes me want to move NetSol stuff off UD to elsewhere.

Netsol is a giant registrar, there must be an easier way to handle their names. Both Sedo and Afternic do fast transfer on Netsol. I know UD doesnt do fast transfer, but 8 days or longer is a drag.

Is there a way to request to do the pull/push every time. The domains are well over 60 days and unlocked.

thanks.

well... I guess this means ud does not have accnt on netsol. seems no one wants accounts there lol

did you ask them if they would be willing to open one there? they still probasbly got fair share of netsol sold names.. I know they are quite open minded about opening escrow acnts at various registrars.

They do have an account there but sometimes buyer does not want it pushed and prefers transfer out only. My last 2 sales involved both scenarios.

You can reduce the number of days it takes you to get auth code, you can simply call them and expedite the process, you'll get an auth code straight away.

I believe Undeveloped should have an option to confirm transfer as soon as the transfer is initiated, right now its a long wait until the transfer is complete.

Also off late has anyone else noticed increasing delays on UD side in terms of replies on ongoing transactions?

I think support needs to be increased to quicker replies and also Escrow services to be extended to weekends as well or increased time.

Hi All,

We've been a bit less responsive here in the past weeks and will continue to be in the coming days. We're working very hard to finish our Domain Automation Network. We're almost there. Just some final details have to be taken care of so I expect us to be able to launch soon!

In the background, we've also started a couple of new projects. One of the projects that is well under development is dubbed as "Revenue Accelerate". With this project we're in essence removing all remaining friction points that we've discovered on the secondary market and we're introducing a new model including for sale page that in our initial tests shows to convert extremely well. This model will also allow our sellers to build very significant and recurring revenue. More on this subject a bit later down the road.

So what keeps us so busy?

In a couple of days, "Undeveloped 4.0" goes live. Without sharing too many details, Undeveloped will also be rebranded to another shorter, more brandable and internationally appealing name.

The upcoming product launch brings a number of projects together and will set a new foundation and standard. Once that's there, you can expect more product improvements in an accelerated fashion from us since we're doubling down on our product development.

Exciting times ahead! We can't wait to share with you what we've been working on!

Kind regards,

Reza

It is large due to NetSol Reseller business...
Among endusers NetSol popularity is minimal.

For example, wix.com - one of the biggest NetSol resellers...

Dear Undeveloped

You guys should have an ad place on your landing pages (one adspace, preferably at the bottom) and share the revenue with the domainers.

Hi Harsh,

Even though we're not big fans of PPC/Affiliates on for sale pages as they always will impact your sale ratio, we're still in the market to offer such a service due to popular demand.

We've spoken to quite some parking companies from our industry and ad inventory providers from outside of our industry to create optional hybrid for sale pages where half of the page is dedicated on selling the domain and the other half on generating passive income.

We're not following the route of our competitors and are trying to create a situation where 100% of the ad-income goes to you (our sellers) instead of grabbing 70% ourselves and paying you out just 30% like other parking companies do.

Specifically, that requirement is causing some problems on getting some of the known parking companies on board. Our goal is to offer our sellers up to 3 different ad inventory providers so you can choose which service to use for monetization.

The above likely will go live in Q2 of 2019. Technically we could already offer this within a week since the hybrid for sale pages are already built and even operational, however, the bottleneck at the moment remains the ad inventory providers.

Kind regards,

Reza

Curious how many people have completed sales in the five figure range and above at Undeveloped?
I see many sales posted here on NamePros in the sub 5K range but not nearly as many above that.
Any idea why? Are they simply not happening or just not getting reported? Is it buyer confidence as perhaps they prefer a larger marketplace like Afternic/GD instead when spending more on a domain?

I know @Federer has commented about this in the past..."We make a alot of €100-€500 sales via Undev (inbound) - but we rarely sell .COMs in the low-mid $x,xxx sales range there".

Undeveloped is a great platform and I have most of my inventory pointed there however I'm curious what others think about this...

You already allow people to add their own content, so why not let them add their own AdSense or Affiliate codes for the ads in order to make their landing pages look more like a minisite (as an option for those who want to do so of course).

@Undeveloped are you considering an additional payout option like payoneer? Transaction charges on payoneer is zero I guess

Hi Mainlander,

We officially don't share any sales publicly so that's mainly causing that effect.

We process payments between $20,000 and $100,000 regularly on a weekly basis. Last week we sold a .de for €80k and a .com for $110k for example. We don't report big sales per request of our bigger sellers that requested that additional privacy, but if we'd do, we'd make it into the top 10 charts easily.

Also, note that big sales are actually easier conducted at Undeveloped than on other platforms that I'm aware of. We don't have a credit card payment limit of $5K for example and end-users can pay up to $50,000 directly with their credit card with us. Any amount above that would require approval from us but that's granted swiftly if they can easily verify the buyer. This makes bigger domain purchases easier for corporate buyers that visit and purchase domains on our marketplace more often directly.

Take care,

Reza

Hi Haykay,

We've signed a deal with them in late 2018 actually and will implement them as payout source soon.

Reza

Hi Oldtimer,

Those options actually generate too little revenue while that type of ads are a too significant distraction for buyers. So from our perspective, it's not worth having those type of ads on our landing pages.

Only if we can meet a specific revenue target with that model we'll offer it so it's worthwhile for you and to make sure the model doesn't cannibalize on your sales ratio where the actual revenue is generated from your portfolio.

Kind regards,

Reza

In the last 12 hours, the visits to my landing pages have stoped( dried up) . Am I the only one ? Kindly check your GA and see if you had visits in the last 12 hours. I have visited some of my pages personally and were not recognized by GA, even in real time.
I remember we had the same issue about a few weeks ago. @Undeveloped should please find a lasting solution, if truly there is an issue to sort
