Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
it could be bots
Mostly it could be another domainers...
So if you want to sell - price your domains as for other domainers.

If no sales with enduser prices (for domains which are NOT parked there) - then this means that no endusers there or very low %.

3: 17% of the sales in July (compared to 2% last year July) were not initiated by a buyer that landed directly on one of our for sale pages. This number is increasing as the marketplace is growing and evolving.

I'm using Undeveloped primarily for their clean landers, conversion rate, and great service overall. I'm not expecting much traffic from marketplace alone but this is really good news!

@Undeveloped What's the average duration to pay a buyer after he bids? I have already 2 fake bids (aka fake buyers) there and possibly a third one.

4: Total sale volume increased by 40% compared to last month as we hit a record marketplace revenue of +$1M in July alone, for the first time in the history of the company.
How many sales $1K+ (percentage/share among all sales)?

Just for comparison...
~50% of Sedo sales are under $500.

When parking with undeveloped, is there anyway to change the TXT value?

The only way I can think of, is to change the nameserver back to my registar, change the TXT, and then change the nameserver back to undeveloped

Any one of you here, stop using Undeveloped's (or anyone else's), landing pages, use your own - you will get the exact same traffic, not have to pay Undeveloped (or anyone else) a nickel, and once you stop parking there, will see your inquiries via Undeveloped go down to zero.

Or, just keep believing, and ignore the reality.
which escrow would you use in that case ?

Well the escrow that Undeveloped has got going on there can be a definite plus.

At present as far as independent escrows escrow.com seems to be the only game in town again, with the shutdown of Payoneer.

escrow.com is useless for cheap domains.
To lower undeveloped fees it's possible to use other landing and import leads. I tried for a few leads but results are not so good, for the moment i prefer to use completely undeveloped.

You may use your registrar nameservers and just URL forwarding to Undeveloped listing.
And that's all.

You may have a point in that I almost never sell a domain under $1000.

Still, if you sell your domain at say domainagents the offer you get is net and includes escrow costs. And also at places like Afternic and Sedo the commission paid includes the escrow costs. I am working a deal at GoDaddy right now via their broker where the buyer has agreed to pay all costs including commission.

And finally, as far as direct sales, I guess people trust my company because I’ve sold directly with payment to me via PayPal including where the buyers at my request send the funds via “friends family” which has no transaction fee and is virtually irreversible.

It never was "the only game in town"...
Because Sedo escrow (3% / min. $60) exists since ~2000...

Yes Sedo too. Off the top of my head I think Sedo can be cheaper for under $5000 transactions with escrow.com less expensive over $10000.

"Concierge" at Sedo/Undeveloped is included for free and by default.
escrow.com with their "concierge" is abnormally expensive.

At Undeveloped.com, buyer can pay via Bitcoin.

If buyer wants to pay in btc and seller wants payout as wire-transfer, will it work?

Just want to know something like i have some names at Undeveloped, so i wake up some days and see that the number of views on my names has increased say from 12 to 24 view on one name. what does it mean people have been clicking on the landing page of my domain? @Undeveloped

@Undeveloped. A friendly bump regarding my below question. Thanks.

I would like to show my bio on my for sale pages, but prefer not to have a public profile. If I remove my public profile, my bio also disappears even though I select the option "Show bio" under "Meet the seller".

Would it be possible to show your bio, but not have a public profile/portfolio?

Hi Kite,

Usually (average) within 24 hours.

When parking with undeveloped, is there anyway to change the TXT value?

Hi Alex,

The only way I can think of, is to change the nameserver back to my registar, change the TXT, and then change the nameserver back to undeveloped

If you park using A-records and our IP address instead of our Nameservers you can still manage the DNS and add a TXT record for example.

Hi Singh,

Yes, that works!

Just want to know something like i have some names at Undeveloped, so i wake up some days and see that the number of views on my names has increased say from 12 to 24 view on one name. what does it mean people have been clicking on the landing page of my domain? @Undeveloped

Hi Hui,

The increase could have been caused by multiple factors:

1: Better indexing in Google (takes some time) which is now driving more traffic to your for sale page
2: Increase in direct type in traffic
3: Your domain has been found more often in our search by users
4: Or a combination of all three.

We only count actual visits of the landing page. I think if you're a bit Google Analytics savvy that you should be able to find out where exactly the traffic comes from. Add your own analytics tracker to do this.

Hi Embrand,

Apologies for the late reply. I had missed your question.

I've made a note of this request but it's the first time we get it and not extremely high impact so I can't guarantee it'll be prioritised soon.

Have a great week everyone!

Reza

We have seen a lot of fake bids from Efty, UniRegistry, Godaddy....not only from Undeveloped.com. Is it impossible to block them right? @Undeveloped

@nayoweb Screen resolution 1024*768 and "indeed inc." as service provider strongly suggests it's a bot. Filter this resolution for easy route, it's enough, almost nobody use it today.

It would be nice to have a form in sales page where a customer could put his email to be informed in case of price change of a domain.

Quick update:

All domains parked with us are now SSL secured, including .com's! Only for some smaller ccTLD's (10%) we haven't aired the SSL certificates yet. This will happen for those extensions in the coming 48 hours.

This impacts your sale ratio + the indexing of your for sale pages in Google.

The only solution that we currently have is to make it harder for buyers to place a bid, however we have data that shows clearly that our sellers will sell less successful sales if add blockers in the process.

It would be nice to have a form in sales page where a customer could put his email to be informed in case of price change of a domain.

Good one, I'll make a note of this.

@Undeveloped Sorry to bother with more questions... Do you have an idea what works best at Undeveloped: Pure Buy Now listings or Buy Now with the option to make an offer?

Thanks.
