Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Haha thank you :).

Hi Alex,

1: Buyers do care about that. Especially for end-users that are buying on the secondary market for the first time, it helps to build trust.

The world isn't as domain-savvy as we are. The more unclarity or questions your potential buyers will have, the lower your chance of selling the domain will be. In this case, having a profile will give clarity about ownership and your intent (described in your BIO).

So having a profile that looks trustworthy in a blink of an eye, with some details about you does really help.

2: Adding relevant content also helps improving how unique your for sale page is. We see Google indexing and ranking domains with content better and earlier than domains without unique content.

We're almost done making our text editor feature ready to launch. So soon (likely next week) you'll also have rich format editing tools to make the content you add look better.

Kind regards,
Reza

Huge - really looking forward to this feature. Thanks for the insights once again, Reza.

Sorry for the momentary dislike. I hit the wrong button.

I strongly like this statement. Looking forward to this feature.

Hi Reza, regarding the rich formatting - THANK YOU! Regarding the profile, is it possible for you guys to collect and display deeper stats about how a visitor is tracking through our pages, including how many times they visit our profile each day? That would be interesting to see. Sort of like Linkedin does where they tell you how many times your profile was viewed and how many searches your profile ended up as a result on.

Thanks!

Return visitors to cut it short. That could be tracked with an ip.
I also want to see my statistics for each day. Just like Google analytics.
Thank you

You can integrate Google Analytics with your Undeveloped listed domains

I have done that but still not accurate. I will prefer the filtered results from undeveloped. Thanks

With the help of google analytics, I ve noticed undeveloped counts both real and bot traffics, and they also misses counting of some real traffics. @Haykay2005

Do anyone else notice this?

Reason why I want daily statistics from undeveloped so i can point the difference. I believe undeveloped report is more reliable so far. I have compared the two

Well, thats from your own end but from mine, undeveloped has been counting bots as traffics. I have a domain that recieved 7 bot hits from OVH hosting inc. With the network domain showing ip examples like ip.436. Blah blah. This particular hits were counted as traffic by undeveloped.

So far undeveloped counter is not good enough at my end. @Haykay2005

Hi Reza,

Great work by your team so far!

I would like to request for a feature on your platform that allows for a gallery display of domain names with logo. That is a logo gallery for domain names on Seller's profile. I think it will improve the aesthetic view of Seller's store and as well, boost the chances of multiple sales when buyers visit.

Thanks.

This would be a nice feature to add. Further customisation of public profiles would be wholly welcome, in general. I think there are plenty of optimisations worth exploring here.

I'd personally love to see custom categories implemented. Is that something you've considered adding, @Undeveloped?

I was curious to see what would show on a name I sold at Undeveloped this morning.

The domain name
***********.com
has already been sold

There are millions of other domains available on Undeveloped. You can probably find the one that fits you best!

And then a list of other domains on the market.

I don't like that the page is used to promote other domains in the market as opposed to the seller's portfolio. Surely it should be the opposite, at least until I have been paid?

I still haven't been paid, as such it's still my domain and traffic, so why is my domain being used to promote other seller's inventory?

I'd like to suggest that sold domain name landers display the seller's portfolio.

TONS of bots on my GA reports. I am not sure if these are counted by Undeveloped but man, there are so many bots scanning and messing up my stats.

why not make another filtered view on GA?
My easy way (works great):
- remove generic monitor resolution: 800x600, 1024x768, 2000x2000 (to eliminate most bots)
- remove Linux OS
- remove ISP domain googleusercontent.com (Google bots)
- remove ISP domain amazonaws.com
- ....etc you can play around with filters and add more if you have some special bots bothering specific domain

site is offline
It is offline for me as well, a third day now. The strange thing is that it works when I access it from another network. Anyone else with the same problem?

Edit: I can access blog.undeveloped.com. Is it possible that my network is banned from the main site?

Hi Polymorph,

Can you send us your IP address via support? It seems you're either blocked by our firewall or have a network issue locally since we haven't had any issues recently.

If you're blocked, we can unblock you in minutes. If you suspect to know why you're blocked, also please send us over that context so we can investigate the issue.

Kind regards,
Reza

Hi Remi,

Thanks for the feedback. We have some upgrades planned for the public seller's profile/ marketplace. I'll include this feedback for our product team to consider working on.

Kind regards,
Reza

Hi Achilles,

It helps to show relevant names there and not all portfolios will have that. Also, keep in mind that your domains are also shown on other sellers sold pages. So everyone benefits from the network effects in the end.

Kind regards,
Reza

What about new feature of live chat with visitor of domain if seller is also online for any queries etc. ?

Hi Sheraz,

Our support team already fulfills that role but I get your request. It could be interesting to explore.

Reza

Hi Agame,

The standard GA implementation has fewer filters in place than us. So you should indeed see more bot traffic there. However, you can add filters yourself to make it work.

Also, do note that we have quite some bot/spam filters already in place. Otherwise, the traffic stats reported would be 10x-20x higher.

It's simply just not that easy to fight bot traffic entirely and it'll always remain a cat and mouse game between platforms like Undeveloped and bot network operators as they keep making their bots harder to detect and using better techniques to circumvent filters.

Kind regards,
Reza

My question is regarding 5% escrow...
Do you support Bulk sales (a few or even xx domains to the same buyer)?

Because we want to filter server bots, and Linux OS is rarely used for personal use. Android Kernel is not OS, Android is OS and it is registered as Android. Same goes for Chrome OS.
If you examine those visits from Linux OS you will see that other stats will indicate they are bots (ovh or other hosting provider, domaintools, microsoft, google, estibot...)
My guidelines are not perfect, it's hard to fight bots today with 100% accuracy, but this is very easy and effective way. You need to make just another view in Analytics. You can check full traffic anytime.

I use Linux for many years...
So I'm a bot or what???
