I just picked up my first domain with the .tv extension. The domain is H2OSports.tv. Anyone know anything about the extension .tv? Anyone seen it used? Thanks

Thanks JanO...to compliment H2OSports.tv, I also purchased H2OSports.live. If I get enough for one, the other may be free....buy one get one freeI've not seen it used but do know they can fetch really high prices, especially the short .tv's https://namebio.com/?s==cDO5ATM5UTM
and check this NP members' story https://www.namepros.com/threads/i-sold-dkn-tv-for-6000-three-months-ago.1057396/#post-6500816

my badUSA.tv was not sold for only 5 digits. It actually sold for 6 digits @ $125,000 by NP member @donnied79
Thanks,

Dynadot is cheaper and there is probably cheaper again somewhere elseWhat does a .tv cost to register, my registrar charges 50 bucks and I can get it on sale at 32.
Yikes..... if I had a lot of those it would really eat into my profits.
With Tv expanding more and more onto the web some folk have faith in the .Tv being the most popular choice for video/tv based media. However it has been a long wait for some. I think from memory that Pet.Tv used to redirect to a pay tv channel? Now it seems to be going to a social media startup? Cat/tv and Dog/tv are also redirecting ......let's see what happens down the road? I like .Tv but would not over expose myself with this extension

In Europe .tv is quite used, I do for sure see many more .tv websites than .net.
Apart from the USA.tv sale I've made many other XX.XXX sales and there are members here that have done better than me.
All this said .tv is still not an easy extension because it doesn't fit all the keywords and because it's very illiquid.
You can sell a .tv for 5 fig but at the same time if you want to sell something for liquidity it's not easy to find a buyer. I've tried to sell some great geo.tv for cheap (low X.XXX) recently and I couldn't (with great I mean ExactCityName.tv).
In case someone is thinking of investing a lot of money on .tv extensions I thought I would bring up an opposing point of view.
I cut the cord a few years back and NEVER watch tv. I stream on my chromebook while using headphones. I mostly use fmovies or bmovies to stream (the extensions always change - google it). Using my pixelbook the screen is right at my face and between that and the headset there cannot be a better experience for me.
That said..... how long before tv is a word that your kids don't recognize any more?
I don't think it will be a long lasting extension, I think it will eventually burn out as tv is no longer what we use. Screens will be everywhere and the idea of a tv station will be a relic.
So enjoy the momentum on .tv.... just don't overstock because I not a hundred percent sure it is a good long term investment like a .com.
Not worried at all. TV is universal. Has been and always will be.
Whether you are streaming live broadcasts on your cell or just pushing play on your ipad i believe moving pictures with audio on any format will always be referred to as tv. The term "tv" hasnt changed in 100 years as much as the actual tvs and programming options have.
I agree 100%. tv has really evolved into a broad term encompassing most video formats/mediums and viewing methods.
Namebio shows Pay.Tv as a $10.000 sale on the 26th November 2017 ...... BARGAIN
