discuss XR domains - Umbrella term for AR VR MR (all reality technologies)

XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

I love the brandabilty of XR, even the letters X & R look great together imo.

Playing about with a few logos in illustrator, I am obviously not a designer but am enjoying myself nonetheless

You are quite right. XR looks aesthetically more edgy, modern and cutting edge and works extremely well as a brand term. I like DesignXR, nice name too.

As i said in our private talks, i love the longtail Mixed Reality and know it has a future and see the option of Mixed Reality and XR means the same and XR becomes an acronym for Mixed Reality instead of MR later on. It can happen.

I was saying something similar to @xr reality back in January of this year when we talked in PM.

To quote:

I still think that it's headed that way and that XR will become the acronym for the entire spectrum.

I only have a handful, as I posted in this thread, but I think that XR names are going to do well if this trend continues.

Stupid brand...doesn't look like it belongs in this thread. And their glove looks like the gloves we saw in the 90s with wires sticking out. So many others have wires sticking out. I why not have the wires inside the gloves?
