When I was in the EU last year, I met some Americans- a group of death metal musicians on a concert tour and of all places we were together in this underground tour in the catacombs of St. Stevens, strange place. Anyway, they told us that they all moved from California to Iowa to reduce cost of living, a smart move really. Any young person who wants to start a business of their own is much better off with moving somewhere where they have low overhead like that.

No not rubbing it in...not a fan of heat and humidity. Travelled a lot to warmer climates, rather live in a four season place.(Even though I complain about the cold)) hardly any poisonous reptiles bugs etc where I live..

A great country in Western hemisphere, At 3000 ft elevation, never gets colder than 60 either. No animals except rats, but plenty of street snakes and street urchins though.

Yes. I have an older cousin that used to hang out at Spahns ranch.
I personally never met him. We were just kids, I was like 15 and she was 16 or 17.

We lived in the Valley around the corner from each other, and I hitchiked up there with her a couple times. Just a bunch of hippies hanging out and getting high.
There were several different little groups that lived there, not just "The Family".
She told me some scary stories about some dude named Charley that was bringing total dis-harmony to the whole scene.
Then when the story broke we were all scared she would get caught up in it.
She didnt. She knew he was trouble and just stayed around her friends.

Kenny, quite a legacy and at that time it was way out of where people lived like Canoga Park. Well that Ranch property now been a condo project for 20+ years as you know, in the shadow below the 118. I had a friend who also was around that area of the west valley in the 60’s. He used to drive his Harley he says around that area and recalls seeing people. No real details, I have to call and ask him. Funny watching old western movies filmed above the chatsworth rocks and recognizing the area and all around that area. I lived in Northridge in the 80’s.

I would say the ultimate answer is some people only want to veiw Continents only in the now. But you also have to view it in theories of how the 'plates' moved. And theories can be different, thus different numbers of Continents.

Like thinking Pluto was a planet most of your life, then it wasn't, then it is. LOL
