What do you think is the next big extension after .COM?
What do you prefer, in case, lets say that the .COM is not available?
Is it .NET, .Org, your ccTLD, some particular ccTLD, or .CO, .IO considering some startup would buy it ?

What is your next preference. Everybody might have a different view!
Please share your views and why?

.uk is a different story then, and I think it's as nice as .com. If the domain is taken, might have alternatives such as .sch.uk, .plc.uk, ac.uk and so on
These are not alternatives, and these are restricted.

My choice are ccTLD as many companies now have both a international .com and regional ccTLD website, while many local companies (or busineses) that are non english speaking, are opting for ccTLD over .com (France, Germany...).

Situational after com. Org in some cases, cctld in some cases. Net if super premium word.

But tbh. .web is king.

IMO there is only 1 king. .top might be top but .com is still the king of all :)

in each country outside US real endusers are actually selecting between their local country code tld and .com. And, in many cases (Germany .de, Russia .ru, China .cn / .com.cn, Japan .co.jp just to name a few) local domains are definitely winning (vs .com!) if we count real operational production websites. There is no evidence of this situation be changing anytime soon, which confirms that new gtls are "dead on arrival". There is a country code tld .US for the United States, but it is a different story.
P.S. Yes I see that @KINGOF.TOP is reading this thread :)

Ok, my replyyy

Yes - I agree, .com is the king of all TLDs.
I accept & respect .com as the king.

That's why I have also started this thread:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/com-is-king-do-you-agree.1049177/

But please be informed, that the TLD
.top is (at least) the emperor and every rank above of all TLDs.
In human ranking, the
emperor is ranked above the king.

So .top is the emperor.
And .com is the king.

And who are you???
A king domainer?
Or an emperor / ... domainer?

I think no extensions ever will have the same impact as .com. Not even close. Not even 10% of .com's impact.

Still, I am registering (and selling) new gTLDs on a weekly basis.

Interesting viewww
But in corresponding ratio (3o years vs 3 years), its already no other TLD than the TLD .top which has in fact the highest impact - and it will gain.

.Top has lost almost three millions regs in seven months. Personally, I would be very surprised if .top will achieve 2% of .com's aftermarket sales.

.com
.org
. (country where you reside) for me .co.uk

From what I have seen I would say 4th in line would be .co

With my current stage of domain investing I can't really go outside these 4 extensions atm

Possibly .NET but thats only because my venture is running on a net. Lol. The owner of the .com wants $7k. Not a hope in hell im paying that
