Augmented Reality (AR) domains

Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

ar+
advert
adverts
billboard
billboards
registrar

There are still a lot of possibilities available, so I thought I'd share this so you can also get a piece of the action :santa:

Ask the owner of virtualrealityglasses what kind of offers he has been getting :)

Sometimes long is nice.. Augmented is long but also ugly imo thats the bigger problem.

Well at least its not transmogrifiedreality:wtf:

I tried to sell arexperts when i owned it to

www.augmentedrealityexperts.com

And they said pass

What kind of experts are they using this longtail with eu :)

Others will come.

Its all down to personal preference with companies, so nothing and everything could be a winner! That was just one example

This is an Australian company that are using our local cctld which is .com.au. It appears they are seeking local clients and wish to be seen as Australian

The four waves of Augmented Reality (that Apple owns)

Digi-Capital-AR-platform-waves-1-768x576.jpg

We’ve been saying for the last couple of years that Augmented/Virtual Reality is the fourth wave of consumer technology, and that AR could become much bigger than VR. But AR itself is not one giant wave, it’s a set of four big ones: mobile AR software, mobile AR hardware, tethered smartglasses and standalone smartglasses. These four waves could drive AR from tens of millions of users and $1.2 billion last year, to over a billion users and $83 billion by 2021. Surf’s up.

@Manusakos that article is incredibly interesting, and detailed. great read, thanks.
I (and everyone else, I suppose) am still totally on the fence as to what all this will be named in the real world. AR/VR/MR just don't make for good names, whereas holo does. But that's just my $.02, and I'll keep pondering the question.

Good for you .......buddy
~
Interesting to note that this would not be a common term where I come from but there would be no confusion as to what it means. Good luck

picked up ARBuddy

I have BuddyMR in king.

This kind of domains go hand in hand with AI / bot assistants. I have many domains for this kind of use in the near future... A holo / 3D version of Siri, Cortana or Alexa but with a personal touch...
