Hi there. I am Sheraz. From Pakistan. I am new in domaining business.
I had a basic question if anyone could help.

If we buy a domain from a different registrar, lets say namecheap and I want to transfer my domain to godaddy, is it possible to do it so?
And if yes, would it be free or they would cost anything?

Thanks in advance.
Sheraz

It would cost at the receiving registrar, but 1 year is added to registration.

Welcome Sheraz.

As mentioned you'd pay again at GoDaddy, so I'd keep it where it is unless u have a good reason to transfer.

Hi Sheraz! Welcome to Namepros!

It is possible after 60 days from date of registration.

No matter when you transfer, this operation adds 1 year to the domain's expiry date (the domain is automatically renewed for another year). You initiate a transfer at the gaining registrar end (in this case, GoDaddy) and they will charge you their going transfer-in fee.

Sure. You can transfer your domain to any registrar that you want. When you transfer your domain, the expiration date is extended for another year. There is a cost for the "expiration extension" that happens during the process. Basically, this is a cheaper way to renew your domain. I transfer my domains to save money on renewals all the time.

Thank you brother.
And is it possible with all other registraars? Even little ones too? Do all allow to transfer?
