It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

I already answered in this thread... but I can repeat again...
Many of my .PROs are snapped... but I receive offers on handregs as well...
Also some of them I won on expired-auctions...

Regarding my outlook...
I can't say anything new... as always - it depends on GoDaddy only...

hvac. $1,200 2015 : End user, small business got a great price.
carbon. $1,900 2014 : End user
dentistry. $1,300 2012 : End user - now parked
vision. $5,000 : End user
socialmedia. $1,100 2010 : Owner let it expire or sold it
tweet. $1,875 2010 : Development company let it expire.

If .pro was available on Godaddy domain list and auctions, I think I could sell two or three a year.

Tweet . pro was my first .pro sale, was sold to a venture capital company after I talked about it in the comment section of domainwire or thedomains blog.

Most people aren't aware of .pro exist, it's much better the guru or ninja for business imo.

Encirca && ELB is playing with good .pro's.

ELB - just another LogicBoxes... as Alpnames, ResellerClub, mitsu, BigRock etc.
Use Pheenix if you want 99% warranty...

It has been deleted by Registry after all other .PROs...
Long droptime for .PRO - up to 15 mins...
That's why Pheenix is out today... improperly configured.

If Pheenix has DDoSed this domain just 10 mins and finished - that's why it is out.
This domain has been deleted after ~14 mins from start.

Every domain has its own deletion time within drop-window...
For .PRO this window is up to 15 mins from start...

Regarding .com/.net
Pheenix, NameBright, SnapNames etc. are aware of the deletion time for each domain precisely (h:m:s)...
Verisign provides such data for them...

p.p.s. Losing registrar has no any impact on the domain in PendingDelete-status, it is controlled by Registry ONLY.

Also, as already was said by me previously, .PRO and .info are deleting by Registry in parallel...
So Pheenix should allocate his catch-resources on .info-backorders as well...
That's why sometimes even via API is possible to beat Pheenix (if many .info were backordered on the same dropday)...

@Dynadot uses just 1 main channel to catch .PROs...
Dynadot2,3,4,5,6 etc. - are not used at all.
That's why their results are ~0.

And the last possible reason why Pheenix is out today:
too many requests within first 10 mins (over their limit with Registry) >>> and autoban by Afilias.
So this domain has been easily caught via API.
