.club .Club Showcase and Discussion Thread

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
With the recent popularity and domination of the new gTLD registrations in the .Club extension, it's appropriate to get a showcase and discussion thread going for the extension. Use this thread to showcase .Club domains you invested in, Discuss .Club, and point out record breaking .Club sales.

I'll get things started by showing off our new .Club that redirects back to NamePros ::: DomainName.Club ::::

What .Clubs have you guys and gals invested in?
Any great .Club news that others should be aware of?
What are some (Verifiable) mind blowing .club sales you've seen?
How much are you enjoying your new .club?
Know of any developed .Clubs that look cool?

I thought I would share the story behind the wholesale SEDO JackPot auction. We have had complaints from some in the west that we just hold auctions in Chinese auction houses like Alibaba making it almost impossible for Western domain investors to bid in short character names. This auction has inventory that is short which has value in China (we have seen prices for 3 characters rise substantially over the last 12/18 months). In addition, all the names are also brandable in the West supporting a valuation in both markets. SEDO serves both the Chinese and Western buyers. The auction is one of the last times before we expect to get approval from MIIT.

New G registries are the wholesaler, aftermarket, domain registrar, etc. Too many have learned the hard way wasting time searching for domains.

Ridiculous to claim, "A dearth of .COM availability" when registries are holding back all the good phrases and keywords. Who else agrees?

We just announced at TheDomainConference that .CLUB will have an open drop and will not hold back any names....even short character names that should drop. Based on feedback and support from our customers and given our success we no longer feel it necessary to recapture any of the names.

Very good!
Posts ago I've asked why you did this and now I'm happy about your decision.
Thanks to @Colin Campbell & .club staff.

The registry is jerking everyone's chain and lying.

I think it is fair for domain investors to criticize registries for holding back names. Truth is we spend over 6 million in marketing per year so we needed to that in the early days to ensure we remain solvent. After a lot of feedback we announced on this forum a couple of weeks ago that we will no longer be doing that. This is directly related to the fact that our company has hit our goals and no longer requires the revenue generated from the drop. As of Oct. 1st .CLUB will offer an "Open Drop". Not one name will be reclaimed by the registry! Over the last 12 months we have reclaimed millions in inventory which we sell monthly (See our reports) at about 60-100K per month. It's time for the domain investors who support us to get first access now.
