How to protect the .US domain if I can't meet nexus Requirement?

I believe there are many domainers outside (or no connections to) U.S still own .us domains, so how you guys make it safe? Tips needed, thanks in advance! :)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you sell aircraft.us cheap then you are probabily just selling to another domain speculator....so I see no reason not to hold out for a decent offer, but I think it unlikely that you will get a six figure figure without there being some massive inflation.
You might make aircraft.us into a forum for flying enthusiasts.
That way other people will do the work developing your site.

However, I can appreciate Heynow's rather missplaced uncivil rant about speculators sitting on great domain names. I have often thought that if some of the great names being hoarded by a few namepros members were allowed to be developed into professional websites, then the great names that I am hoarding would be worth a lot more.

Do you remember a site that used to offer a valuation and asked what you would sell it for; so you put a mil and then it appraised it at that price.. hehe
That's a good name.. who knows what it may be worth in 10-20 years if you could hold off that long.

Hi - I developed webbrowsers<dot>us domain. I wonder why Google is not indexing this domain. It has been more then 6 months now.

Any ideas.

1. Have you set it up in the google's webmaster tools?
2. Google indexes things that other sites point to. Have you done any link building to get other sites to reference your site?
Hope that helps

I have webmaster account and site is added. Usually my sites gets indexed in 2-3 weeks of time. This one I am not sure what is wrong.

Yes, I haven't done any link building so far. Will try. Thanks for your advice.

Just picked up ingot and ingots (both .us and hand regs).

Ingot just dropped about an hour ago (about 3:30 EST), and I'd been hovering over it all afternoon.

I agree.. only $3.99 at GoDaddy with lots of good domains still available and, to be honest, I'd take .us before a comparable .net or .org.

.com > .info > .us > .net > .org is the way I see it.

.US is the best value play of any extension right now imho.

Is there a reason you post some of the names you registered and not all? Just curious :)

*

Some names I pick up because they are good for projects that I have in mind, not because they are especially good in a resale sense.

Also, if I'm trying to get similar domains that have not yet dropped, I don't want to blab it on a forum.

;)

4"keyword".us seem to be big sellers of late. These have all sold for nice amounts in the past month or two:

4taxes.us
4news.us
4mail.us
4sports.us
4shoes.us

Of them, 4sports.us is the only one that has content, and it looks to be an auto-blog. I wouldn't pick any of these up if I saw them available. What gives?

But renewal fees almost high at Godaddy
