No. To be a hack by the definition used here the .com would need to be part of a word like inter.com would be a domain hack. Some use the term more generally to include two words separated by dot but your example to me does not fit either case.

It's a way cool name, but I would not consider it a hack.

I do love them but they only really work as brand and require all the work of other brands. The best hack is one that actually works but not what you think. Sms and some browsers allow you to send a url without http://www. meaning that gtlds could be the typo itself. Eg: get.me the address "mom can you come get.me from shops" typo in sms is worth big coin. not my address but this is already happening. get.me showing as a link if sent sms.

    Cool!

My favourite from Bob's list was T.win. Not only is it a hack for the Twin.com the gambling site but the .win also lends it self to a positive connection with winning a bet. Nice.

I am not sure I would call that a hack, but it is certainly an innovative use of making a twin domain into a quad I guess! Thanks for sharing!

    Just messing with you Bob.

I collected the best of the best domain hacks before everybody else knows the future value way back.

I sold most for good amount except the 2 letter ones.

I now only own what I called "dot in the middle"

I still own a hand full of 2+2

I like wi.pe and sc.am a lot! A dot in the middle with equal letters on each side has such nice aesthetics. Congratulations on having such great ones! So when did you acquire your earliest hacks @xman? Would love for you to share a little bit of the early history in this thread, if you wish of course.

I have been using BuyNa.me® for several years - in part as the URL for my EFTY market, but the brand covers more than the site..

Haven't gone through the link fully but I could see the value you saw with hacks.

I have Quoted just one instance below where you have shown brilliance back then.

This shows how creative and pro were you @xman back then (12 years) even while others did not see stuffs like this. Now all the New Extensions have hacks.

Seems you were one of the Pioneers of Domain Hacks

I am still going through the many, many pages, but I hope readers interested in hacks will go to the thread linked below that started in 2007. It is really interesting to read how people were discussing them in the real early days, the discussion on whether they would really find actual use, the super gems some people reported sometimes even as hand-regs. Very nice discussion and I am only about 10% along. Thank you very much for the link @xman and your leadership on NamePros in the early days of domain hacks!
