Here we go with another look at Sedo's top sales from this time last year, June 3rd, 2014.
- Bouqs.com - $40,000 - Forwards to TheBouqs.com, "The World's Most Genuine Floral Experience". TheBouqs.com has a global Alexa rank of around 49,000. They also have 240,000 Facebook fans and use a terribly cheesy made-up word on their site: Bouqaneer. From my research, it looks like they received $6 million in Series A funding around the same time they acquired bouqs.com.
- Xovi.com - $25,000 - Xovi.com now hosts the website for XOVI Gmbh, a German company that creates software for online marketers and businesses. Xovi.com seems to be an upgrade from Xovi.de.
- Gero.com - $10,001 - Forwards to GetGero.com, owned by Gero One Corp. They're a company that have created a new technology utilizing mathematical models and diagnostics tools that can identify risks of age-related diseases on early stages through analysis of everyday activity movement. A very interesting technology company that analyzes data from a range of wearable devices.
- Impactful.com - $9,999 - Resolves to a default GoDaddy page, and is under privacy protection. It seems to have been that way since it was acquired a year ago.
- YNK.com - $8,999 - This was acquired by a Chinese individual, but has changed WhoIs details a couple of times over the year. It now resolves to a domain marketplace at 982.com.
- BestSublimation.com - $8,500 - I had no idea what Sublimation was, so I Googled it. Apparently it's the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas phase without passing through the intermediate liquid phase. The domain forwards to BestSub.com - a company that manufactures and markets products based around the Sublimation printing process.
- LaReserve.com - $8,000 - Owned by Michel Reybier Hospitality, the domain name is used as the website for their "La Réserve" hotels in Paris, Geneva and Ramatuelle (St Tropez). I think it would take a domain sale or two to afford a night at a La Réserve hotel.
- XCourt.com - $6,800 - Still resolves to a Sedo page, and is owned by "China Commercial Legal Development Association Limited" in Hong Kong.
- Nexchange.com - $5,994 - Is now the home of an app called Nexchange. It's a mobile app (coming soon) which looks to be a professional network for the Financial Services industry.
- SafeBrand.com - $5,000 - SafeBrand.com forwards to SafeBrands.fr - a domain name consultancy and online reputation company who bought the domain to protect their own brand.
