Using the nameservers from multiple services on a single domain does not work well because of HTTPS requirements, which applies to the whole internet (no exceptions for any services)

This is a requirement of every service with nameservers, including Afternic, Sedo, etc.

The reason is because if the nameservers of 2+ services are mixed together on a domain, then none of those services can get the security authorization that's necessary for HTTPS to work (secure connections).

For example, if you mixed Sedo and Afternic nameservers on a domain, then neither Sedo nor Afternic would be able to show a landing page for that domain using https://. Only the insecure version (http) would work, which means the domain would look insecure if it loaded at all. Most of the time, browsers force HTTPS so many visitors wouldn't be able to visit the domain at all.

The difference with our service vs. other services is that we bring this issue to your attention, whereas other services just ignore it and cause you to lose traffic to those domains without you ever knowing about it.

We take a proactive approach by not verifying the domain if this issue is present, so you know about it and can fix it, which then maximizes visibility/traffic to the domains you represent or own.
