Yeserday I put a domain on ebay, bid open from $5 and 'Buy Now' is $15.İts actually good short domain for me but no one interest for 1 year..So someone just buy it from 'Buy Now' price.Didnt bid, just came and take it for 15 dolar,in few hours.

I get money in paypal but cant usng as he confirm you know.Whatever I transfer domain to his account. After few hours I take mail from somethng I dont know who is..Just copying mail here

''Hello!

I'm a broker of a private investor from the Great Britain. He wants to purchase blabla.com.

My client has $457,000 budget for 15-20 domains. Please specify your asking price in the subject of your message.

Our company is in hosting business. We also provide brokerage services for investors.

I'm working with many domain investors. If you have other domains for sale please email m ethe list. I may offer your domains to my clients.

How can we send money to you? I think an escrow service is the most secure way for both parties.

If it's your first time sale I can help you with the escrow/transfer process.bla bla bla...

best regards...his name,where he work..''

So what should I do now? Is it can be true? Or just a standard scam mail? if its scam mail how can he take somethng from me.what kind of scam is this..

I would be happy if someone help me..D-:

maybe they didn't want to start a bidding war and less time consuming to BUY IT NOW.

getting it at $15 is probably, still, a steal, for them.

imo....

The scammer buys the name from you at $15.

He pays you and gets the domain.

Then some company apparently wants to buy your name... and has some serious dough.

Your expected response is that you will make an offer to the buyer that now has the name.

The buyer will tell you he wants $x,xxx or or $xxx.

The first buyer and the new buyer are one and the same.

You are told you can get $xxx, xxx, so this scammer expects you to go along and repurchase the name at $xxx or $xxxx, so that you would hopefully be fooled and tricked into believing a $xx,xxx sale really awaits you.

After you repurchase the name, that wealthy buyer has disappeared.

Now you are worse off: you lost money buying your $15 domain back for $xxx or $x,xxx.
Domain still not sold, and now you just gave your own money away.

They are preying on your "greed".

Yes!!!! it was appraisal scam and your mistake is you have priced your doman too low for buy now, next time your buy now should be a confortable price. If you know the domain is good at your best. Cheers.

I received a simillar message last month. The person kept insisting that I get my domains appraised from a specific company before purchasing the domains. He said he was a broker and had a client from Kuwait. I said I already had an appraisal done to see what they would say and he said unless it was from that specific company, it wasn't acceptable to his "client". Wish I had kept the email so I could post an address but it was a fake Swiss company.
