.co.in needs some sort of TM when they want to register previously

there are lot of big guys regged .co.ins before public registrations by submitting docs

but as u know so many fake copy right holders are there also

I think suntv doesnt have a com or net website before so they may have grabbed this names for their future use its a big company here and even i use dish from sun network

Pertinent point being - sun.in is their public site, the other two point to a corporate portal.

Sun.co.in is a redirect to in.sun.com and registered since 2003, so before the .in was even available.

Defensive regs make sense for organisations with turnovers in the millions of dollars, but then they're just as likely to come after you for a domain if they want it than a regular end user or startup.
