Hhmm- for someone that Chooses NOT to read the .mobi forum anymore your name sure seems to be lurking in that very place several times a day from what I have seen. That and in the sales section where you are trying so "desperately" to sell your own ,mobi's that you are so intent on cutting down.

Go Figure:

Sorry for asking you a few questions on your sales thread that you got so bent out of shape jeff, but it's clear by looking at it now, the ONLY reason you had it closed was from 16 concurrent post's by yourself that imo doesn't look to good to any prospective buyer. You can blame it on me if that makes you feel better, but anyone that looks at it now clearly can tell you didn't need to start a new thread on account of me and was only looking for a reason to do what you did.

It's amazing how many times you threaten to report people for their opinions, but when the shoe is on the other foot it's O.K. for you to discredit members and their opinions without any recourse to USUALLY the one that started it in the first place.

i defended you in your sales thread, i agree cardinal rules for across the board, no matter who is involved.

but cmon. if so many are irritated, perhaps it is just time to look in the mirror. the killing with kindness routine is gone, at least you had that back in the day, now its just old. if mobi is so bad, domain with other extensions or retire. we understand your points and your decree of caveatemptor to new investors.

Like .MOBI itself, those following it - and perhaps those getting most concerned and irritated at the current state of affairs and .MOBI Malaise™ in the aftermarket - is SUCH A NARROW and comparatively minor band of interest and demand, IMHO.
I think I'll be alright if a handful of polarizing folks feel further threatened by my humble remarks in the general Domain Discussions Forum, IMHO ... they should be out developing and promoting their .MOBI websites, anyway! :gl:

Regarding the additional .mobi extensions.. who knows?
They never thought they would need more than .com, .net and .org.

There are billions of people comming online, and the biggest part of a successful market/business/anything online is m-a-r-k-e-t-i-n-g. In saying that, if there is a demand for more names on the mobile/fixed web once the next flood of billions come aboard, don't think for one minute they won't create one. If there is a market for new gTLD or ccTLD or mTLD, they will make it happen. The bottom line is money. They (ICANN) don't care what we want as domainers, they (registries) want cash in their pockets .. and if there is a new way of creating another fast and furious cashflow.. as in a new extension for any type of platform, they will be sure its made available.

There are right now, what.. 200+- business.anything names. Thats 200+- businesses in the entire world that can market and brand their business.whatever. I think that pretending there will be no more extensions in mobile and/or fixed internet is a little off center. There will be more. Many more. Even the .com era is still new.. the mobile internet is like a fetus. WAY new. When it gets going, there will be many more extension additions.. IMHO.

Geo extensions would be perfect. With the entire world looking on mobile websites in the next few years, there will be a demand to localize. If I am searching for new cars, or a live show, I do not want to be pulling up 'shows.mobi' and getting shows for the entire planet.. and I will not want to sift thru a huge database with redirects and questions etc. I will want to know what is available right here where I live. So.. mobi.sc, mobi.va etc.. could be!
