I was the last poster and I was both on topic and mature. Its an interesting question and I do not understand why it was closed.

Just because it strayed (like THAT never happens here) does not mean its not worth exploring.

I swear, I do not get this place any more.
I stay away and don't post beacuse of some members making it impossible to discuss .mobi, then the place looks safe to discuss again, and now its the mods closing threads and making comments like:

"Will we ever need MORE .mobi extensions ?

For Gods sake - I hope not ........

Grow up guys !"

AMAZING since this is the .mobi section.
While the post was made in the domain discussion area, I beleive .mobi is still a domain extension.

This is really getting stupid.

Mods or management who obviously don't like .mobi trashing the subject and closing the threads, while telling the posters to 'grow up'.

Why not just take the flippin .mobi section down alltogether? Put up a link to you-know-where and be done with it. No more having to look at us or talk to us about .mobi any flippin more.

Who runs this place anyway? JR or the mods and management?

OK ya.. it did go crazy, but they all do, don't they? As soon as .mobi is mentioned.. its frantic feuding.
But, he closed the thread when we were back on topic.
Would it not have been better to remove the offensive stuff and allow the convo to carry on .. and NOT insult the members by tellin us to grow up for even asking the question?

Also .. as a side-note..
Jeff is just as responsible for that mess as the others. He knows what is going to happen as soon as he types the first letter of a post regarding .mobi.

RJ... I respect you and what you have done here with NP. I understand you can't babysit, and you should not have to. BUT.....

Allowing Mark to insult us like that, tho.. I do not feel that was necessary.
I keep trying to enjoy this place like I used to.. and I probably can on other areas. But .mobi is just not a welcome topic here for the most part and the mods/management really only add to the flames. Not the .mobi mods, the other ones.

It doesn't really matter I guess. Seems more than not, the mods of these domain forums are getting power-crazed and say what they like then poof or close the thread. Mods are supposed to moderate, not inflame. They are supposed to calm things, not make them worse.

Its not just here. Trust me on that.
Its when the people who are supposed to keep the peace or watch over the forum join in and have their own little pokes and jolts that its more annoying.

It would have been (IMO) better to delete all the stuff that was posted off topic as soon as possible and warned that it would continue to be deleted. Simply slapping the members and then closing the thread leaves it open for indexing and the problem is not resolved. Hand out warnings or whatever, but the mods need to control themselves as well. Mark was no better than anyone else who flamed or attacked on that thread.

Really hope this isn't about me or applying me in any way. Maybe use his full name or instead of Jeff lol. Sure there are a lot of jeffs here not sure which thread this is in refrence to but if rj says it needed to be removed then I am sure he is right. Even ifs mine lol. .

I had my run inn months back and I am a mobi lover, domainer, buy things on mobi and worried on couple big risk factors we face with mobi ref mainly software and how you type in flowers.com on your mobi and get a nice mobi formated site. People here don't like it when people disagree on an issue or have a risk factor listed.

I am slowly moving back into the mobi thread and with caution. It all was started with my branding name of forexoptions.mobi and most of the thread deleted and personal remarks against me. We won't harsh this out again but you know who you are.

Me personally this mobi area needs better supervision. I like a few people in here and have learned a lot but it seems its gone crazy as well. That's why I took time off from here.

Rj is doing his job and a great job he is doing. I won't get into this issue. Not my turf but I really hope 2008 has some changes here, we respect each other and not these crazy attacks. Its ok be cocky and confident but when your taking things to the personal level that's when I say that's enough.

I think I am just trying to make my final plea here. It is so aggrivating to a lot of us to have to tolerate the constant badgering and insults from people who have no interest in what we are interested in. My biggest issue at the moment is the handling of threads. That thread should have been moved to .mobi as soon as it was seen in the general area. Jeff (the other Jeff) should have maintained control and not even posted in it. If he has decided to stay away from the .mobi section and all .mobi conversations.. by choice, then ignoring that thread should not have been a problem.

The point is, why is this not being addressed? Why was it not handled differently? Why is it always the same problem? We discuss .mobi in a .mobi thread, then the SAME people come in and trash it and infuriate the SAME people which starts the SAME crap?
Why is it ONLY with .mobi and why is this not obvious to anyone who does not have interest in .mobi?

Jeff and I were actually civil to each other in that thread. It was calming down. We even wished each other Happy Holidays. Then BAM in come the mods and slap and close.

I offered some insight and hope 2008 mobi thread and area improves somehow. I don't know all the answers and I love namepros and etc. Mobi area scared me away for awhile. Just giving you my 2 cents.

OK. I get the point loud and clear.
You feel the same way. You think we need to grow up. Thats all of us. All of the .mobi supporters. Simply because we are aggrivated with the way others are being allowed to talk to us and stir the pot. We are not allowed to react to the constant and relentless jabs and flames. We are to sit back and take it because what.. we are investing in .mobi. Since we retaliate, we are immature.

I have 4 children. I have seen better handling of agruments from 10 year olds than I have from the mods in this forum. There is no calming, moderation or even an glimpse of caring. There is no neutral. Its all fair to say what they please to us and that includes staff ameritus.

We have begged you for a year to help us. Long before it got to where it is now. Begged and pleaded. If you feel the same way, then its useless.

If you feel this way about .mobi supporters/investors, why is this subforum here? Why do you allow it to exist when you care for it so little?
