YouTube script

Is there anything which exists so I can develop a site for a community I belong to so they can sign up and post videos just as in YouTube.

Only needs capacity for 10-20 new videos a week.

YouTube has change the page format therefore the script now will not work. I'm developing a new version that fix this problem. This version will include support for many more video websites. And the possibility of adding new websites easily using plugins. I hope this new version will be available very soon.

It does all of that and more. I am currently using it, it work's great!

Those do not have the same function as YouTube at all.

Are you looking more to http://fileparrot.com or more http://classhumor.com? Something more to upload, or display?

It would be quiet hard, since youtube uses many scripting types, not just php. Since it has to turn the video into a FLV, which may use C++ and maybe some java. Possibly your looking at a custom script unless you look above at my post for mediasitescript which I am currently using and love it.

I think I may too - although I may just adapt the site to be like a forum.
Then mod the vbulletin code to enter a link in the thread title. People can then follow the link and see the video on youtube or something already existing. People can then comment on the video etc, just would view it elsewhere - kind of a link directory for videos in the area the site is aimed at.

Would cost about $100 and be done in a week! Much easier I think!

i got an idea again, or you can do it for free with phpbb plus add a youtube mod to it, as an example:

Hey Camron,
YouTube does NOT convert any videos from any format into FLV.

The flash player you see when playing a video, is exactly that, a video player, it just streams the video from the server, from a location which isn't easy for anyone to find. The only reason they use an FLV player is because they can keep people from saving their videos :P.

My only concern is if it requires ff-mpeg on the server. 99% of them do, and this is something that many hosts wont allow to be switched on.

This is due to the excessive amount of cpu the scripts require. Therefore, you may need your own dedicated box?

Not sure tho, look forward to a PM or update.

i think all youtube clone require ffmpeg inorder to convert the video file into flash file (flv).
