Anyone out there understand internet connection etc.?
I am with wanadoo freeserve. I've recieved my 'phone bill, which has two items totalling nearly £60 - which I have not dialled.
Contacted Wanadoo - been told that one number is one of their dial up numbers - and told that they'll look into it and get back to me.
The other number - an 0871 number - is not theirs.
They referred me to another number, which informed me that the number 0871 0987 705 is "classified as a Internet Services metered access up yo and including 10pm for BT customers numbers. It is provided by mixed operators". (whatever that means)
My bill just reads INTERNET next to the number.
They inform me that these items must be paid for.
I have never dialled the afore mentioned number. I dont know who's the number is - and dont know how to find out!
Any help from anyone would be very much appreciated.
