bros..
so I'm down to 500 names on dot.. thought this.fun round number deserved little chat on folio sizes.

I remember when started 10yr back my max reached like 3k names. 99percent wasted zero value junk. then I had to spend yrs learning craft and getting back to zero from a few grands into negative.. lol

but hey. I'm sure happened to many. the sucky part is if u start ..lost money then quit cause your discouraged and so u quit with minus 5 or 10k

that sucks.

anyway.. let's have nice chat on folio sizes.. u can vote .. renewals add up...sales going down.. folio sizes suddenly matter.

enjoy

I have more than 400 domains, and I am trying to sell my llll.com, lll.in and keyword domains at a reasonable price to reduce domain renewal expenses. Looking for brokers and other options to sell the domains.

I started domaining in 2000. I registered 500 names. They were very expensive back then (starting at around £40 then coming down to about £20 ($27)). At that time you could only register domains through Network Solutions and it wasn't as straight-forward as it is today.

Today I have 11 domains (the lowest I have ever had) mostly ones that I am using for websites. I don't really do "domaining" as such today but I have never lost the bug!

By the year 2000, Network Solutions was no longer the only place to register a .com domain. The Shared Registration System (SRS), allowing any ICANN-accredited registrar to register and manage .com (and .net), started in April, 1999. Throughout 2000, multiple other companies were actively selling .com names alongside Network Solutions.

For me in the UK it was only Network Solutions that was available. That is just from memory. There might have been others that were way more expensive or way more hassle. Again from memory, you had to upload ID and the like to register a name. I remember doing that with Network Solutions when I sold a name. It was certainly a lot more hassle than it is today.

wow thata a lot of renewals

whats the com %?
Renewals become burden only when the portfolio consists of poor quality of domains.

92% of .com domains.

I've may be 2-3 domains to drop in total.

agreed. quality wins..

do u mind sharing an approximation of your net roi annual... after all expenses .. sales... renews etc...

I guess in the end that's the figure that matters most.

I'm gonna take wild guess... 500k ;) avg of all years of course... or just approximate say last year...

if u dont wanna share I understand. not all do.

Wow it's rare for a domainer to have a 100% renewal rate.
You basically believe every one of your 11k names will sell at some point. Impressive.

I'll take a wild guess his net roi is in 6fig... when that happens it's kinda easy to renew all

if I calculate I'd have 6fig left after all renew costs etc vs sales then I'd renew all also.

It looks easy but it wasn't easy to reach at this stage. I've been reviewing each and every domain manually before the renewal time for more than a decade before I've stopped almost completely to review each and every domain. The reason is all of them are thoroughly checked over the years. This helps in renewing all the domains in bulk.

I know
there is no such thing as newbie domainer making 6fig net roi

hell there is hardly any domainer making that at any point

lol

so u are in top %

did u have something like a turning point???? say... big 6fig sale ... ir maybe 7fig... :)

or u just kinda eased into 6fig roi after a decade or so and stayed there...

What makes you keep every name? Has every single domain had an enquiry?
