Pros: The domain is broad and can cover a number of different topics and niches. For example, political movements, think tanks, community organizations, students organizations etc. The domain is not limited to specific states, a specific audience, and "young americans" is not defined as a very specific age group. The domain could both be relevant for kids and young adults, etc.

Cons: YoungAmericans.org is a developed site, and in this case I find that the .org extension is a better fit compared to the .net version. It is difficult to find an end-user interested in developing a brand already in use.
