Do you think it was sold based on it meaning 'yacht' or was it an acronym for something

nice sale anyways

Every airport across the world is assigned a code. Easier to remember and input into the system for navigation. Most in australia start with Y and then the corresponding letters of the abbreviation for the airport. YCHT is Y CH for Charter and T for Towers.

I thought BrandBucket never negotiated on price. Did you lower it down from $9,995 before the sale or did they make a lower offer? BrandBucket has a nice racket going. They made $2,500 for doing nothing. That's insane. This name is so niche specific that it had to sell through direct navigation.

but forgot to redirect domain traffic

when they asked me if I sell it for $5495 USD
I agreed

minus fees $5478

Nice sale! I agree...the commission paid is irrelevant if the profit you make is acceptable...I never worry what the other person makes in a transaction as long as my pocket is happy!

CHIP / and means automobiles in german
Based on your info, I'd guess low $xx,xxx - low $xxx, xxx (depends on whether it's a domain investor or an enduser).

Nice sale

Right name, right time, right place

before the CHIP craze, this is why 4L's had value

I am happy to pay 30% commission to anybody who is promoting my domains an creates a sale based on their own efforts.

But meanwhile I am reluctant to pay somebody a commission based on my domain traffic.
Thats why I put a lot of effort to create a decent landing page for my domains
and have a semi automated sales process in place
that has a lot of features the standard places don't supply

For example currency convertion and VAT based on visitors location

( even german based sedo doesn't bother to take the german VAT (./.19% ) into the equation
which is costing me .. minus 19% on any german customer )

it also also possible that an end user contacted BB and asked them to locate a domain for a yachting website and they recommended your one. Either way, BB has proven once again they are the authority in domain sales to end users.

absolutely

you are right
